I like where you are going here. If I could get a fruitport with both of the blades on one body it would be a grail... Probably not for under $100.00 though, hey I would pay $200.00 for it (or more ;))

A Fruitport convexed by BRKT definitely not but GEC does have production 2 blade trappers right at the $100 in both stag and rams horn. Other materials for less than that. I see no reason it can't be done.

I would also like a two blade Fruitport or similar and would be willing to pay over $100 for the privilege.

I would like to see a large stockman or two blade trapper of some sort with a Clip point blade, and nickel silver liners. US made, please.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Here's another push for a large stockman; Following the tradition we started with the 2011 knife, we can initiate a brand new pattern by going with something like that big stockman.
It will be something that no-one has produced for about 15 years!!

I love the idea of mid to large stockman, 3-7/8 to 4 inches, with a turkish clip main blade. Similar to the turkish clip on the 5301 Mooremaker stockmans.

As mentioned previously, I would love to see us build a a serpentine jack, similar to the old Schrade 294.

My third choice is a single blade bone handle folding hunter, 4" closed. Schrade did a bone handled commemorative in 1986 for the Statue of Liberty which is just a pleasure to carry.

That Great Western Spey Remington is a spectacular knife, Nixelpix!

It is pretty awesome! It looks like it went for over $700 on the site I found its picture.

If it has a large Wharncliffe and a large clip or spear (would prefer clip) and is carbon steel I will get one. Something similar to a furtaker... but different. A medium or large stockman similar to what waynorth posted, but with a wharncliffe instead of sheepsfoot. Maybe something else instead of a spay, but then it's not really a stockman anymore; needle point/awl, clip point with decent amount of trail, and wharncliffe is actually sounding nice in my head.

OK, how about this- Similar to that Remington I posted above, but a full sized wharncliffe instead of a spey, full sized clip blade, and a punch.

I favor two blade jacks and really like the congress jack that has been proposed. I also very much like the looks of the large stockman that has been proposed. I am not a big fan of acrylic for handles. Whatever pattern and handle material is chosen I will be in for two of them.

I'd like either a cattle knife similar to this fine gem made by Mr. Bose or a Eureka Jack

I've seen enough. My head hurts kinda like having too much whiskey. I'm going to go rest now, maybe I'll be feeling better in the morning. I may have to have some alprazolam before I start reading this again.

That Eureka jack pictured above in Campbell's post is ......., can't find the word for it, but it is the best suggestion thus far. GEC took last year's forum knife, tweaked it and put it in their production schedule, and the 85's are among their best models. I would love to see that Shapleigh come back into production. Lots of good ideas, but isn't the good the enemy of the best? That Eureka is the best.

While I would like more stockman knives with punch, my feeling is that it is too close to other years designs. I'm leaning more toward the congress Jack as closest to what I would be looking for. It is unique, still traditional frame, and quite usable. Plus the blade shown is almost a wharncliffe- the best shape known

My further suggestions would be (in order of importance to me)
Clip secondary blade
Not acrylic- rams horn or Jigged micarta/wood would be different from past years (of course I want red micarta but am most surely in minority). I'm just not a fan of how acrylic materials age (that I've seen)
I like 4" closed thin knives for food processing, so closer to 4" is good with me!

That large stockman that waynorth posted, but with ram's horn scales, would be great! I'm also really diggin the congress Jack as well.

This offers a lot of potential: It's different from all previous Forum Knives, GEC can make a version of it on their 48 frame, it could be in their stainless for a change, and it's an elegant and useful knife:thumbup:
