Im joking you know :D

Lol I know Kevin so am I :) But my genteel campaign doesn't seem to be gaining any momentum, so I just figured the next phase was mudslinging :) Conceeding the race? Never! :D ;)

Wharncliffe Trapper, single blade, 3 3/4 or 3 7/8, bareheaded, fluted rounded bolster, bullock federal or double bomb shield, and since you asked stag or jigged bone. Where do I send my money? (Just kidding, I know where).

Congress Jack!!

Gimme one with:
-Linen Micarta Scales
-Bowtie Shield
-A big pen / small spear secondary blade (a al the Case Texas Jack) would great.

voted WT but would be just as happy with either...something about the WT called to me.

I am down for the same specs. If the single blade version gets the vote, then I rather go with CJ as shown.

Wharncliffe Trapper
3 1/2" - 3 7/8"
2 blades - Muskrat clip in front of a Wharncliffe blade (Ie standard wharncliffe trapper config)
Barehead with Federal shield works for me.

A wharnie trapper gets my vote. Sorry I haven't been following the thread but will it be a single blade or double? Who's the maker this year?

Already have two wharncliff trappers by Case, nice knives and I like the pattern (otherwise I wouldn't have two!), but I'm voting Congress Jack for something unique.

GEC could make it on their 61 or 62 frame...and while I imagine a pen blade will be the secondary it doesn't matter to me.

Congress Jack!

I vote for the wharncliffe trapper just as shown. It will be an awesome forum knife.

W.T.for me.Bare headed with jigged bone,3 1/2" closed,01 steel,with a Turkish secondary blade.

No wonder the first thread did not reach a conclusion. Both are winners! Nice work, folks!

I wouldn't be disappointed with either one. However, that being said, I will steal President Carter's famous line and modify it to say, "I have lusted in my heart"...for a knife just like the one Trand described.

While I am sure the wharncliffe trapper would come out a great knife in whatever configuration it could ultimately take it just doesn't hold the same appeal to me as the congress jack. I love a wharncliffe blade as much as anyone but there are several options out there to scratch that itch. Conversely, the congress jack is a pretty rare bird. This is a chance to revive that pattern and do something different than what's already out there these days.

My thoughts put eloquently!

Congress Jack. Bladed as shown. Bar Shield. Love the Tortoise shell suggestion!
