To even use the word "swindle" as a possible inference derived from this is insulting to me as a member of this community that Spark provides to everyone here.
<snip>or did I just screw up the value when I took it out of the box, removed the factory scales, and modded it?
<snip>
lol....Actually, and unusually for me, I used the word "inferred" correctly this time. In my comment where it was used, I was objecting to Ibizian's prediction that we members may begin to think (infer) that we are being swindled as a result of what he perceived to be a lack of timely updates by Spark.It wasn't an inference, it was an implication. He implied a swindling, you then inferred it.
On that note, I'm going to order another one! Woot!
hahaha oh man, I can't believe the crap coming out this guy(not you Blues). good riddance, kriller1217 better watch out.
@mcraft
Getting extra scales for a knife increases its value usually as long as you include original scales!
Thanks guys, you helped me figure it out. For some yes, for some no, so the safe move would be to buy a few more (depending on if Spark is able to sort through how many are left and post the number, perhaps buy the rest, but I cannot afford *that* many, $90 a pop adds up fastI wouldn't pay more for a knife that's been taken apart then reassembled,regardless of the extras,but maybe that's just me.![]()
Just got off the phone with Thomas, he's expecting the G10 for these to come in today and expecting to deliver by the first week of November.
Since Ibizian feels swindled by this, I've cancelled his order and refunded his money.
For the rest, thank you for your patience and support.
Don't take this the wrong way if you are a knife maker and know what you are doing just ignore me, otherwise be careful with doing that to your Skyline, or any blade. When researching different grinds and what not, I found this: Zero grind are darned hard to grind without ruining the temper in the edge. Just as bad, you can easily over grind the edge just a little and foul it up that way. Not many makers put in the necessary effort to develop the skill to do that grind . If you do grind one successfully, then you are working with a scary sharp blade while you complete the knife (never a good idea).sounds great! to hold me over I decided to change my skyline into a ffg... well a zero grind tbh... i can't wait!
