2012 Forum Knife by GEC - Who's Got Em? POST YOUR PICTURES!!

Terrible picture, but shows the relative outlines of the 2012 Traditional and the 2012 Bose/Case Lanny's Clip.

Both arrived within 2 days of each other. Happy weekend, for sure!

Wow!! Now I feel like I have a 2 bladed Lanny's Clip!! :D Just curious, how does the F&F compare ? I'm guessing the Lanny's Clip is better?

Got mine yesterday. Great knife that is well put together and looks great. The blades seem thinner to me than other GEC knives I own (no complaint just an observation). I sharpened both blades and WOW they got sharp quick. I mean whittle hair like a razor sharp. I am extremely impressed to say the least.
 
Mine is going to get a new 18 degree edge on my Edge Pro this weekend. It should be a slicing machine!
 
The blade grinds on this knife are insane, in the best of ways.

The blade grind is so acute, and the edge grind has such a thin shoulder, it feels like it will cut and slice very well -even if it is dull. The width of the frame ergonomically compensates for the proudness of the blades. I never should have doubted the design back when all we had was the 2-D rendering!:foot::)

This knife actually jumped into my pocket and lit up a bright red "no vacancy" sign. I don't know where or how it got the sign, but it seems like it knows what it is doing. :eek:

I put a 20 degree edge on mine with my Wicked Edge. It is scalpel sharp. It will make an excellent slicer.
 
I've been playing with mine so much that even with a nice smooth pull my thumbnail is sore! :)
 
Mine arrived yesterday. I can't find a single thing I don't like about this knife. It will need a little sharpening but that's ok.
Thanks to Kevin, Manfred, Ash, Charlie, Gene, Campbell, Frank, GEC and whomever I've forgotten. Nice goin' 2012 committee and advisors!
 
Beautiful knives they certainly are...I love the blade combination and steel type,size,style and bolsters and shield...the colour and jigging leaves me flat....just my 0.2 ....FES
 
I'm unsure on the color myself, but sometimes these lighter colored bones REALLY take one a new life as they wear and color from use.

I wont know if mine arrived until 25th of December but I'm guessing it would have if it was sent with the other lots.

You've got a mass of willpower there, not sure most of the rest of us could leave a knife package un-opened for nearly TWO MONTHS:D:D:eek: Good on yer:thumbup:

Wife intercepts them and puts them away until Christmas...its imposed will power!!! :p

I can't wait to get it in my hand though and will post pics christmas morning on here, she did the same with last years but it was totally worth it. I have bought like 2 knives all year which is the lowest number i've bought since I was 12 years old haha.
