I really would like the two bladed version.
If it gets pushed to the single blade I'm not sure I'd want in.

Thanks for all the work thats gone into this, it looks great.

I'm new here, but my preference would be for a smaller clip blade with a wrap around spring. Otherwise, I'll still buy one as is and prefer two blades to one.

Well I've been going against the flow from the start with the 2012 knife so I may as well not stop now :p I voted for single blade wharncliffe, not because of price but because as others have said, it'll keep the weight/thickness down and I'll be more likely to carry it.

I would however like to see the wharncliffe blade (whether single or with the clip) more in line with Ivan's rendering than the one from GEC. Meaning a more elongated blade as opposed to the "stubby" look in the GEC drawing.

That being said I'm in for one either way.

Nathan

I would like to keep the 2 blade configuration, but from the drawings it looks like the wharncliffe is sticking out a good deal. If they can make the handle shape more like the photo that IVANKERLEY made, then it would make for a more ergonomic package I think.

If the wharncliffe sits lower or the handle has a bit more curve in it like the photo, then I would be in for one.

I'd get one with a single blade, so that's where my vote went. Glad that the swell folks at GEC stepped up for this project. It's the way small knife companies deal with our type of forum that can really reveal who's cool and who's not. Major thanks for the efforts on this project thus far to the guys with their noses all over the grindstone.

I vote to keep it as is, that is an awesome configuration IMHO. GEC's pattern for 2011 was beautiful, can't wait to see how this one will come out... I'll probably snag 2. :)

I voted - "It's over Johnny. It was fun while it lasted". Too much time has passed and for me, the excitement and fun of planning the forum knife has faded. I'm out.

I'm in for one. Either the current two blade setup or a single blade wharncliffe is fine with me.

Thanks to all who've put in their time and energy on this.

I agree, the wharncliffe in the photo is perfect, the blades in the drawings look too much like the blades in the AG Russell Sowbelly, a bit unsophisticated.

Would still be in for 3 though :)

Guess I'm out. For that money, you can typically get a nice stag handled GEC. I can't imagine why they'd start with a new frame for this one, rather than use their existing 48 frame. IMO, the wharncliffe sticks too far out from the frame on the pictured design.

I voted for a single blade. But I'm in for at least one whatever the outcome.

I'm with the "keep it as is" crowd. That's the knife we voted on, and I'm okay with the cost, as I've been saving up for it.

Good on GEC for stepping up. Thanks, committee and Spark, for sticking with it, and making it happen. Although this one has been a difficult bit of work, I am really looking forward to getting the knife.

I'm just glad I have an extra month, or so to save up for the Lanny's Clip from Case...

Edited to add: I'd be okay with dropping the clip blade, as well. I think that was what I originally wanted, anyway. I'm not going to change my vote, as the original is the choice made by all of us together.

In for one, either way...

I'm in for one, maybe two. I'd still be in if it is a single blade and I'd also still be in if they used their Model 48 frame which should make it less expensive.

Leave it as-is and I'm in for two. Drop the clip and I might still be in for one, but probably not.
