I don't find the squabbling over color entertaining, but rather sad. These kinds of things are what makes manufacturers turn their backs at suggestions and requests to begin with. It would be nice to have folks wait patiently instead of dissolving into an ADD/OCD mess. A little decorum and patience in these moments goes a long way. Oh well.

100% agree with your point. Decorum however has not always been my strong suit and the troll came out for a minute, maybe with the help of some holiday fuel.

Update time! :D

Yesterday, an anodizing company that according to Darrel has an excellent reputation -- reliable, quick turnaround, etc. -- sent him pictures of the shades of green that they offer. The picture is below.

IMHO the one on the bottom right is pretty darn close to the sort of dark green we wanted: it has a rich green color that will immediately set the knife apart from all the blacks, grays, foliage greens, and olive drabs on knife handles out there, but without being such a light shade of green that it'd risk looking "fruity" (as with the brighter shade of green on the upper right). (Darrel did ask me to remind everyone that the way the anodizing looks on the frames will vary from the pictures a bit because of lighting, the way the aluminum is finished, differences in each person's computer monitor, and so forth. But the photo gives a good general idea of the colors that are offered by this anodizer and of how they'll look on the finished product.)

Before doing anything, Darrel of course wants forum input on these possibilities, so let's hear what you guys think. The handle anodizing is the holdup in the process right now, so once we pin down a color, Darrel will get the machined handles sent off to be anodized and we'll be in the home stretch of the process of making the forum Gunhammer a reality!

As long as no one is going to jump on my back for stating an opinion or have a discussion I will say the bottom right. But shark grey would be better.

No back jumping here, just a reminder, the group at the start voted for a foliage green colour, and by the looks of that lower picture, Darrel will be able to supply just that.

I think the green looks perfect!! Lets get these puppies off to the anodiser!!!
