Sadly, the knife as drawn does not have sunk joints. A pity on such a nice pattern.

though the design as it is looks great, I wonder if we could at least ask about the possibility of sunken joints? if it is possible, and what it might look like.
I would only want them if they didn't compromize any other aspect of the design too much e.g. make the blades too short, and if we are not knife designers, it is probably dangerous to ask for a design to have everything.

Though not completely sunken joints, they to appear to be rather low profile, when closed, I can see this one riding nicely in the pocket.

Can't wait to see the covers.:D

Oh, and I see the wrap-around spring is there, too!

Oh I see that now. A cursory glance on my phone had tricked my eye.

In any event, it does look pretty pocket friendly.

WOW!

That looks perfect. Just what I had envisioned, I'll be buying at least 2. This is going to be a great one, classy and elegant looking. Thanks for the update!

Just think what these would look like in crushed pineapple or that tuna(?) (the crushed blue one) one, like on the Conductor whittlers. Of course, the light micarta that we picked as our choice will also look awesome, too.

I like everything about this design - of course, I was on the winning side of every poll so what's not to like :D I'm looking for a "slippie" that exudes style ... and with white micarta handles this will have style to spare!

Looking very good! Very good indeed!

Thanks for sharing the sketches and WIP pics.

Can't wait 'til we get a decision on manufacturer and get to add our names to the list.

OK, guys. If you insist on designing my perfect knife, I guess I have to give in and get one!
Not to jump the gun, but what is the process? Do I have to have a Paypal account, or can I use a credit card?

Looks like things are progressing well.
Thank you to all that are making this happen.
I'll be in for a couple.

You should be able to do it with a credit card. Spark is handling the order and purchase like last year. That time, he posted a thread here with a link to the knife on the One Stop Knife Shop site if I remember right.

I'm sure it is looking good Gene!

Which reminds me folks, Gene was kind enough to continue doing the art work again this year, even after stating last year that it would be his last. So if someone would like to step up for next years art work. Now would be a good time! :D I'm sure Gene would help whoever down the trail with what he has done it the past.
Thanks,
Dave

YES! Or Tortoise... Root-Beer..Lava Lamp :D:D But the light micarta will be very satisfying.

Don't think GEC has yet done a sunk-joints knife (the 57 Half Whitt comes close) but it's a tricky thing to do I believe.

Thanks, Will
