In light of what Spark alluded to in this thread, I wouldn't get my hopes up on him responding to impatient members, even if we are close, which we are. It is, in essence, out of our hands at this point. Just sayin'.

Very true. I imagine there's a lot of pressure on Spark right now and we need not add to it. When it's ready it's ready.
 
UPDATE:

I just got a reply from Kevin to my PM asking how close we were to pulling the trigger on the order: "Soon, just need a couple more orders"

You are being over-pessimistic I feel.

I don't have exact order figures (surely somebody does...) :Dbut rough figures for Forum Knives ordered/sold in the past
Pre 2008 around 75 per year?
2008 50 knives
2009 110+
2010 170
2011 184
2012 250

Bear in mind last year and this year required a different ordering procedure due to costs. Compared with previous years' time schedule we are very much there. We are now very close to blast off and the waiting, given GEC's usual efficiency, will not be long. Full steam ahead!:thumbup:

Not pessimistic... Not critical of Spark either... Just thought I'd comment on the pace and poke at it a bit to see if it would move along. I'm in it for the long haul! GEC makes sweet knives!

I hope all is well as can be with Spark.
 
I have just been looking over the draft diagrams that were submitted when the specs were finalised. I am looking forward to this years knife, it's going to be a cracker! :)
