I say lock it up, order what you've got sold, and let the rest suffer. They've had long enough, and I'd like to see what I've paid for some time this year.

I agree.

I have always contended that the number should be limited and set out up front and let those who can and will buy do so right away and let the rest figure it out later. I'm happy to pay a premium for a limited edition in a very hard to find pattern; not so much for the larger runs in something that can be found every day.

I think a lot of the "fence sitting" is based on the idea that they'll just buy one of the variations that GEC will put out.

It's rather obvious that this years isn't all that popular compared to last year's model. Oh well, things like that happen. I wasn't all too excited since the price was over the proposed limit, but GEC puts out a great product. I guess some will just have to wait to get their opportunity in 2014 to have a design more to their liking. Set the final date and go for it, Kevin! Thanks for this great site and the work put into the traditional forum knife every year!

This will be an exceptional knife, even if the production numbers are smaller than expected. Definitely worth a go at this

I fell out of remission from my Leukemia about 5 weeks ago . I will be getting a bone marrow transplant if they can get me back in remission. I would like to see it happen NOW. Later could be too late.

Another factor is the number SFO knives available and being pushed right now by various dealers on the site. Great knives, and I'm sure that they are vying for the money to be had in this little niche of the world. Lots of candy on the shelf.
 
I very much like the look of this year's knife, I do not have anything else like it. Looking forward to getting mine, ordered two, one to put up and one to use. I am also very appreciative of the efforts of everyone who has a hand in organizing the year knives and to Spark for doing the ordering.

Jwh, I'm very sorry to hear that and wish you the best of luck especially if it comes to an operation.

Sorry for the questions but I already searched for the answers and came up with no results.
I haven't been able to see anything about the price of this years forum knife, exept that it will be more than last years. Has the price been stated yet? Also, I saw there might be rat-tail bolsters, has this been confirmed? I've been a bit of a fence sitter, but I do want to join in.

Despite my hesitance (and many others), I definately want to see this go through, it would be a shame if it didn't.

I want it to go ahead, really feel everybody else who has paid will agree, leave the foot-draggers behind!
 
Hey, as I've already paid, I'm all for getting it started, ASAP.

I'm sorry for all the delays, but contrary to some opinions, this is probably one of the higher numbers of knives, compared to all the rest. As far as pre-sales, it probably passes all the others.

I have the 2007 knife, and that was a limited number of 57!
