I'm hoping it ends up looking more like Ivory. Maybe the layering will be visible. These are Micarta, aren't they?

Either way, I'm happy to see more progress.

The knife will be beautiful of course! I picked up a Wostenholm I*X*L that is something like what I envision the knife only not a jack. Has synthetic covers is is pretty!!!!!

Something tells me this cover material doesn't translate well in photographs and will look fantastic in person. Those big sheets certainly don't help with the "bathroom trim" appearance, haha.
Of course, I was pushing for this handle material during the voting process.
I am very, very excited for this knife. GEC has been knocking them out of the park lately.

...alas, my least favorite part of this great knife...the covers. Looks like bathroom trim material..lol! I ordered one though!

Lulz. I think it will look different when finished though. The green covers and acrylic covers on the recent #81 didn't look good at all..... until they actually finished them on a knife. After that, they looked great!

Order wasn't placed until late August, so 90 days after that is the end of November. It's still very much on schedule, GEC have quite a few projects in the pipeline.

I originally thought we'd get them by my Birthday, which is today. But with all the delays, it ain't happenin' That's perfecty fine with me. I'm just happy to be getting it at all.

Now I'll just sit back and wait and shiver with antici...
