2014 BladeForums Knife Gallery

First of all and most importantly, thank you all for your efforts in bringing us such a fine knife. Just fantastic that you guys stepped up and kept this tradition going. To top it off what a great knife. Mine rolled in today.

onespdfrk, that right hand one is my type!! Droolmaster knife.

Thanks! I'm going after the other one with a belt sander tonight (gotta make it mine, after all).

I'm in the minority here. Never cared for stag (still don't), but I love everything else about this project - so at least 1 will be a keeper, no-matter what I have to do to it!

Mine was in the mail today... A very, very nicely executed Bladeforums 2014 single blade jack. I can dig it, man!!

Belt sander? Not sure I understand. You don't care for stag but I guess you're going to smooth out the stag? What about the other one, sell it?

ya'll are making me extremely jealous
i think i needs to stay out of this thread from now on.....

:grumpy::(

:D

I too was pleasantly surprised with today's mail. Both beautiful knives. Thank you Charlie, and the entire 2014 traditional BF knife project team. Well done.

Jay

Mine just rolled in. A real Beauty. Wouldn't have minded a bit more figure in the stag, but I'm very happy with it. Perfectly centered, no gaps, sharp out of the tube. Thank you so much to everyone involved in making this a reality. Barry you must have bribed the postman to get it here so quick. Here are the pics.

WOW all nice everyone---I was talking to Duncan when mine had just arrived. I had called Duncan and was sure my math was right---it was, if you don't mind getting a call @ 5am:o Sorry Duncan;)

The variation is what makes these so unique and I LOVE mine. Was getting dark so I hope the beauty comes through in the pictures:) UGH!!! Sorry for the blurry pictures people, I was rushing:mad:

THANKS to all involved, from concept to completion, your efforts are very much appreciated:thumbup:

Yes, just smooth it out some. There's a "lump" on one side that's not too comfortable. And the edge of the brass pin has a sharp edge. Nothing too drastic, just knocking the high spots down!

This one will be a user, so I may as well make it "mine". The other will stay in the tube for now.

This is the before:

And here it is now, after a few "make it mine" tweaks. For me anyway, it went from so-so to my new favorite. Scales evened up and a proper edge, ready for work this weekend!

Wow, some great looking stag here! Keep posting them up! They'll be rolling in over the next few days (provided you are in the US).

Guys, I just sent out another batch of knives to addresses today, about another fifty knives. If you didn't get you order yet, please wait a day or two (unless you are overseas). ESNYX & PHILLLLL, THIS MEANS YOU! :grumpy:

There have been errors made in the individual orders and if you have a discrepency, please contact Charlie  as he has all ordering information. Of course I could have made a shipping error as well (first time ever! lol). But seriously, we will make every effort to correct any mistakes. :(:(:(

I think we can all agree that this is an excellent example of the traditional cultler's art, and I'd like to personally thank Charlie Campagna, Bill Howard and all the folks at GEC, and, of course, John Lloyd for his fine donation, and Liam Strain for his excellent label art! Thanks to everyone for their help with this year's project knife! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Ahh I see now. That one side could be a little uncomfortable depending on your hand shape. :p
