Obviously, my picture taking can't do them justice.
Thanks once again to Charlie, John, Barry, Liam, and all the folks at GEC:thumbup:

I went to my mail box after my run and there was a small envelope. I walked in and made sure my son was not around and took it to my room. I waited until my wife was home and opened it and we looked it over. I am glad I waited for her or it would have been put in my pocket and not under the Chrismas tree for our son. I wished I would have order early and got one for both of us but I waited almost to late and was able to get one when the number of knives was extended.

I would like to thank all involved in making this knife it is beautiful.
Dave

Its arrived! Looks great, and I love the size and shield combination. The stag has tons of character, excellent job and a big thank you to all involved!

They did a nice job matching the scales up on mine. Thanks again to all that put this together.

Help me out here!!

If you paid by check or money order, please send your info to Charlie again by EMAIL!! I am missing a couple of you! It's better if you all email me (those who did not use paypal)!
1)mailing address
2)number of knives

Nobody else please, for now!! I am drowning in emails!!!! Help!!

My order is on the way and these are just awesome knives. Thanks to all who posted pics so far.

I just want to thank Charlie, John Loyd, Barry, Liam and all those involved in making this 2014 BF knife so special and making it happen so fast.
When the pricing came out in June at $76.00 for one, Charlie said "when you get them in a few months, it's like getting a free knife". That is so true!

Thank you all,

Mark

Considering the gyrations our mail goes through here, I was surprised to see mine arrived today. Sharp as a spoon and a perfect example of why I don't much care for stag.

Friend, I do think you received a beautiful example and despite it not being as sharp as desired you still have a pretty piece of pocket candy.

P.S.

The OCD in me actually makes me want to offer you a trade for mine because the shape of your handles is so symmetrical. Damn you OCD.

Mr Yablanowitz, if you're not happy with it, I'd be tickled to give it a loving home. Send me a PM.

Mine arrived yesterday. I'm new to this type of knife. It seems to be a bit tough to open. Will it get easier with use?

I got 2 of them in today & one is noticeably easier than the other. I would flush the joint out real good with wd40 or break free clp tri flow which ever you prefer. I use all three depending on my mood any given day which one I grab then after its all cleaned out I put a drop or 2 of gun oil in the joint. This almost always helps.

Jkulysses is right. Mine was a little stiff and not too snappy when I opened it (blade wouldn't snap shut on its own.) You just need to flush the joint real well. I used wd40 and mineral oil. Sometimes I wash it out first with dove soap and hot water, blow it out with compressed air, and then oils and work the blade open and closed. It snaps with the best of them now and is smooth open, half stop, and closed. I think this issue might amount for a large part of knives sent back for "lazy springs."

Believe it or not, I actually forgot I ordered one of these!

Got a package in the mail and thought it was something else I ordered, until I saw the tube. :)

Really impressed; it's my first knife with stag. I mean, I've had a couple knives with fake stag, and some of Case's jigged-bone, but this is really cool - especially since every piece is unique.

The knife is a little thicker than I usually prefer, but interestingly enough I like it a lot! Very comfortable in the hand. It was very sharp out of the tube, but I went ahead and gave it my own touch and now I can shave with it. It was VERY hard to open (thought I was going to pop off my thumb nail), but I put a little gun lube in the pivot and now it's much better. Still considerably stiffer than every other knife I own, but not too hard to open.

I put it back in the tube for now. To be honest, I'm afraid to carry it! :)

Probably the best $76 I've spent in a long time.

memo to self: Monday morning get out piano wire and stinger strips for mail box deployment.Cancel that. Leave all left over birthday grog out for my mate the postie:)
Looking at this thread is a form of Masochism for me. Oh the pain, the pain....somehow I kind of like it.
May I make a request?
Anyone who lives in CONUS ,Canada,New Zealand,Europe inc Gt Britain,Scandinavia,Asia, maybe African nations and most specifically the Pacific NE please stop saying how quick your mail is.
I ask this merely because I am in the Pacific SW and will be among the last 5 nay 3 recipients-as usual.:(
If i was a gambling man (which I'm not) I would tip mid November before mine show up.
but hey-good things come to he who waits.
