2014 Northeast Beckerhead Gathering - 2014 Oct 10-12

So, any preliminary schedule for activities or arrivals?
For my part, I expect to be able to stay one night for sure. Could be Friday or Saturday. MAYBE both. Then likely heading west to the Berkshires. I'd like to overlap with as many folks as possible.
Friday afternoon for arrivals.
I get off work at 7am sleep til noon after that I'm good for visitors.
Friday food and fire , show and tell, hangin out.
Saturday more of the same, food ,fire ,contests and hangin out.
Sunday hangin out til you leave.
I have a tent for you.
Sad news (for us anyway) boys. We're out. Got some business we can't shake loose from on Monday.
Sorry to hear that Trade, I was looking forward to meeting you guys.

Sorry to hear of your impending absence, tradewaters.

I'm getting ready. I've got some new bands to put on my slingshot....and about a million other things. Trailbum, I've procured some of your favorite malt beverages for you. Plus one or two future favorites.

Packing for the weekend...

Excellent! My plan is to arrive Friday afternoon before dark. Hopefully spend TWO nights.
Thanks for the tent - keep it handy if you would. I'm going to bring my own, but it hasn't been pitched in awhile and has to be dug out of storage tomorrow. Hmm, I'll prolly bring the whole camping duffle and y'all can laugh at me.

I can't make it this year. Looks like it will be a great time. Have fun. And don't overdose on the poutine:D

I am looking forward to this, but boyoboy do I have a lot of $#!+ to pack....the 7 isn't going to get done. But that's OK, because then the birthday boy's knife can be the star of the show.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Jeremy!

We are packing up the last little bit and should be on our way soon. We are going to take it easy on the way down and check out a few places.

Amanda, Becker, and I are really pumped for this.

See everyone soon!

Jeremy

Looking forward to it! At the Dr. right now getting my elbow checked out. Then off to Ruggle's Mine on the way there. See you for dinner!

on the road shortly - two brief stops on the way for supplies.

hoping for the good weather for saturday...

in the meantime, i'm running around in the dark and doing chores and closing up stuff pending freezing weather and such

brrr, 45 dF out by my place, 40 dF at the gathering site...

and the weather was delightful.

only i survived apparently ;D

Hope you guys are having fun. Really wish I could have made it this year, but I've been traveling for work so much and got so much family stuff going on there was no way :( I just got back from Missouri and have to head out to Wisconsin mid-week. I'll be so glad when this damn acquisition is done and over with.

Have some bacon and start some fires for me :) Oh and take lots of pictures!

We are home safe and sound. Thank you so much to trailbum and his family! They are such gracious hosts and really made this weekend a lot of fun for me and my girls. Thank you also to KaBar and the big box of schwag they sent, as well as the trades (you were missed) for the box o goodies. Really great meeting (and BS-ing around the fire with) Daizee and el Bladito. Tired for sure, but I'll try and get some pics uploaded later.

Thank you again, trailbum, from the bottom of our campfire smoked hearts for your generosity and hospitality.

Thank you everyone.
Had a great time.
Thank you Ethan for the big box of knives and stickers.
Thank you trades for the great canvas bags.
Will post up some pics and such later in the week.

Landed in the Berkshires, and fed.
Hey, I bet everyone would like it if I took a shower.
Fantastic weekend!
Thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Trailbum for hosting at their fabulous personal campsite!
Dres, Am (forget forum name!) and the nearly tireless Becker (the dog) demonstrated mad fire & chili skillz.
GSOM schooled us all in IPAs, for which I am grateful and a bit dehydrated.
We even survived a hailstorm of choppers courtesy of the Great and Terrible Blah-Dee-Teh.
I took home thread-worthy packages of awesomeness, which will be documented once the photos are processed. 'Hoss is right: you can't not have a 9.
