my order was late in the day on the 21st - I'm perfectly OK with being in the second round, since it sounds like even the first round will be too late to count as a b-day gift for myself. :D
 
I don't know when I ordered. But I do know that I ordered.
So ship me a knife whenever you get a chance. I don't have to be the first one on my block to have one.

(come on folks, it's a knife. As long as you get it, you get it. Nobody'x gonna get a ticket to heaven just because he got his knife first.)

I committed to buying before we even had a knife. :) my mantra, It'll get here when it gets here. :)

I'm not in any hurry either. This is my first forum knife, and I'm just having fun watching and participating in the process. Even though I knew for sure I wanted one from the beginning, I just feel fortunate my kid gave me a reason to order one for him when he did. One day later, and it would have been nada.

Gunstockjack, take your time. Pretty sure I speak for many to say thank you for your (and all the other volunteers) effort to make this an enjoyable project.

But wondering if there are others such as myself that ordered multiples at different times, it may save time packaging, and costs in shipping if they were held and combined into one package. Just thinking out loud. If there were a lot of multiple orders, 200 shipments is much easier than 315. About 36% easier. ;). But enough of my yakkin' .

I think that ordering on the first possible date, that being 7-21, was simply a choice made by some being involved in the voting process. We who followed the evolution knew when Barry afforded us the opportunity to purchase the knife. Others just ordered at their own choosing. No back patting, just fact stating. I ordered right away which gave me the option to order down the road a bit for another one that I'm more interested in than the one I ordered for myself. I'm anxiously waiting for my son's response when our special Forum Knife unexpectedly arrives in his mailbox. That, I'm really excited for.

I already did that on my Facebook page and also in response to several email inquiries I received from people I don't know but who are apparently very interested in me.

Yeah, I'm sure I will enjoy the knife. :)

I'm sure you'll love the knife and considering its sold out you'll have no trouble getting rid of it for what you paid for it.

So when did you order yours?
 
A slight change of direction - did anyone save the early photo of Eric's CSC prototype that showed the Sheepfoot blade in the open position ? I saved most of the pictures and diagrams of the knives as the choices evolved, but didn't save that one. Please post if you kept it. Thanks, OH
 
Well now that everybody is nice and patient, as I am (of course it'll take Barry some time to get through the knives in order to pick the best one for me!! These things take time! 😉) I think that it's only fair that we give Barry some more work! Because he is so lazy, I decided to peruse his fine shop, and added a couple more knives to my order, because, well, I think he needs more work!! If we concentrated, and everybody pitched in, I bet we could make sure that Barry has to ship out every knife in his inventory, and then take a nice vacation to rest his arms/hands as he waits for new stock!! What do you say BF, let's give the guy more work for his troubles!! 😝😝

As I'm Canadian, I kind of expected to be the last shipment anyways, so if I get mine earlier, that will be a very pleasant surprise!! And if nobody caught the sarcasm/fun in the above post, let me be clear that Barry is NOT picking a special one for me, I'm at random like everybody, but I'm very hopeful and confident that I'll get a great one, the stag on last years was perfectly suited to my tastes and I'm sure my luck will be the same this year! I do hope that Barry takes the time to pick one out especially for himself, I know I'd have a hard time not opening a few (all) to look at what is inside, under the auspice of Quality control of course!! Not to play with, but just inspect of course!! 😉

It's the anticipation of what's in the box that will drive us wild, but what else gets is like a kid on Christmas?!?
