2015 Forum Knife - It's Never Too Early To Think About the Next Blade Forum Knife

I rather like that CS as well. Anxiously waiting news about the Case option!!!

The Schrade Zulu is unique, it looks very pocket-friendly and has a useful blade pairing.

Here's to hoping whatever it is comes in carbon steel.

Has anyone heard about possibility of other offerings? Or other companies that were solicited?

I assume (I know, not safe) that GEC will put in an bid of some type since they have done several forum knives for us. I am anxious to see what Case comes back with! In my mind the CS will be hard to beat, but I love to see some competition.

I'm looking forward to Case presenting their idea(s) to us. The CS looks good and I like GEC, but Case makes some nice slippies.

Something that fits in my watch pocket, with good covers, clip or spear, and a tool for the second blade.

:)

What about a single spring with a main blade and a cap lifter? Then everyone is happy. Small, thin knife that does everything you need.

Why not a wharny at one end and a cap lifter at the other instead of a jack?

I do have to say the CSC offering is growing on me. Looking forward to what Case and hopefully GEC come up with. As always, thanks to Charlie for doing this.

So, I went to Washington (state) to pick up the sample knives from Canal Street, and the facility that receives them could not find them!!
A long drive (two hour trip!) for no joy!
Fortunately there was an error in the spelling of my name, and they showed up! But now I have to go back!!
I am getting antsy to CE and CF them!!
There is the shadow pattern that you have seen, and a bolstered version.
And Wally confirmed that they can pin the shield if we ask them nice!!
:)
:D

Sorry for your inconvenience, Charlie! Thanks for all the effort you put into this. I hope it is a labor of love!

I vote for the bolstered version with the blades a little lower in the knife handle. The whole reverse the nail nick, lower the sheepfoot thing. And a plain shield, cloud or pawn shield maybe, pinned of course. [emoji106]

You're a patient man, Charley. After driving all that way,I would have probably said: "Line up fellas. we're going to take this place, on square inch at a time." :grumpy:

We really do appreciate all of your efforts to get this project seeing the light of day Charie! Thanks again:)

Yeah, that sucks. A two hour trip is a pain anyway, let alone all the excitement of seeing the Proto and then it not being there.

WOW! I haven't had a chance to hang out on the forum for a while but I'm glad I checked in. Great news (about Case, not the lost knives). Good job getting us noticed by the big guys!
