Been hearing about it on Stern. Apparently she's quite the actress. Her Dad is surprisingly supportive.

Spent the day driving down to Brownsville TX (way down at the far southern-most tip for those who don't know Texas geography). One of the ship's I spent nearly 3 years on, the USS Constellation (CV-64), was decommissioned back in August and has been under tow from Bremerton WA down and around SA and back up to Texas to be scrapped. The USS CONSTELLATION CVA/CV-64 Association is going to have a memorial service for former crew members who have died since the last reunion.

The ship was supposed to be towed in tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. Due to weather, the tow-in will be delayed until Friday morning. Since I've already driven 400+ miles to get here, I guess I'll be staying an extra day. Not really a lot to do in Brownsville any time of the year, much less during the winter. I guess I'll haunt a few pawn shops to see what sharp pointy object catch my eye.

Just want show off one of the new slim tin pouch holders I came up with for my sheaths. This one is a BK-2 scout style.

Used a new shock cord method to hold the tin pouch closed so I didn't have to put any snaps or anything.

Very nice Dex.

Thanks man.

Congrats on pulling the trigger on the Skeletool! I just mailed mine off to get fixed. Miss that thing already.
You are gonna love it.

And if you have the Bit set, you can put the combo bit in the driver and the hex key one for the Becker scales in the onboard holder.

Thanks man.

Looking forward to getting it. I have the bit kit for my Wave. Good idea about the hex key.

First class Dex. You are setting the bar way up there.

Packing up for SHOT show today. Looking forward to it. I'm not sure what's going to happen when Barlow meets Vegas.

Thanks fellas! I am gonna get outside and take some better pictures before I ship that one off and post in my thread I have floating around here.

I like how the tin came out. He wanted it removable and wanted something different than my Shock cord tin method like on my personal BK-2.

And Yes Gus, That is a Handcrafted Axis Deer Antler Handled Ferro Rod made by yours Truly. Did a few in that set and two are actually for 2 other members here, each one came out great.
Will be finishing up a lot more of those and putting on the site pretty soon.

And I did my first Piggy Back. Should be arriving today at it's final destination. I am really excited to see how well it works since I don't do much Kydex. It was a challenge for sure since I usually just do the smaller knives in Kydex. I will be doing more of these for sure though.

Here is a pic of that if anyone wants to give it a look.
