That Efficient has my interest, looks like a nice affordable knife. The Tenacious series never really did it for me.

I cannot be sure but if I had to bet on it I would say that it is just a stepped/shouldered stop pin like on the newer CQI update Militaries. I think that the pin is basically just floating in there.
 
maybe another caly 3 will find its way in my box this coming year!i like the new product guide,but really love the hard book in hands better,i can size/compare my knife's to newer products a little better.
 
Already got in on a preorder for the Chinook 4. Really want the Meerkat but that will depend on the price.

Quite a few I fancy and will be getting :-) I wonder what happened to the rumoured 2.75" slipit Metropolitan though?
 
With all the hate filled threads about tip-up tip-down carry, I'm very disappointed the Chinook 4 is tip-up only. As argued adnausium all the clip holes are to give buyers the choice. Unbelievable!
 
The D'Allara 3 & HAP CALY 3 caught my eye. Where O' where is the Caribbean Salt? Hoping it's still a 2017 knife.

I agree that there a few interesting knives in the new product guide but I'm not at all hopeful about being able to afford them. Spyderco seems to be going for pointlessly expensive materials in their knives lately. I think the very cool Euroedge will likely be over 400 dollars in Canada. What's so wrong with a VG-10 blade and a G-10 handle which would probably bring the price down to half that? Maybe everybody got a big increase on their paychecks and pensions when I wasn't looking?
I guess the metallurgists who care more about expensive steels and other exotic materials than they do about design and fit and finish have Spyderco's ear.
 
Excited about the Para3 and the wharnie Delica. I've never had a Caly 3, but its on my list, may need a Hap40 version. The new Stretch and the chefs knife may also make the list.

Can't wait to get a hard copy of the product guide in hand too.
