2018 #82 Dixie Stockman and Possum Skinner Run

While I really like the UN-X-LD company shield, it does look a little out of place on Le Possum?

My only wish would have been a wood Tidioute #82 Possum (ironwood? gabon? osage? rod sucker? bocote?) instead of micarta.

Either way, gotta have both ;);) love the possum skinner! :D:D:D

Well maybe it just doesn't look very good in a more slender knife. The only knives I've jad that had an Un-X-Ld shield were a #38 and a #48, an I personally thought they didmt look good at all.. Maybe it's a different story on something with more girth, like a #35, #42 or #98.

I think the shield thing is simply for differentiation between the 2 models. I note that the Stockman version in Micarta has that odd bent worm shield....:D whereas the Pen Skinner version has the more pleasing (to my eye) Frankfurter. Same with the Elderberries, I certainly don't dislike the UnXld shield and it works well in rugged backgrounds such as Stag(formerly) or deep jigged bone. Keyhole/Cloud really only works on smooth terrains such as woods or smooth bone.

Nothing wrong with the UnXld shield I say

Augie Augie Thanks for showing the latest & greatest;) The Elderberry is a nice rich colour, handsome version for sure:cool:
Really looking forward to mine which is en route across the Atlantic.

Also keeping a sharp eye out for the Skinner Pen, what a fine array of blades for a Penknife:thumbsup: Let's hope my dealer can oblige with this too...

Regards for the Knew Knife Year to all, Will

Since I havent received word that I didnt get one and they were all standbys, I just found and bought the first one. Way to excited for this one to take any chances
Nice! Ya I think this is gonna be a great pocket friendly knife. Slicing machine with a useful secondary blade.
