I feel exactly the same way as Charlie! I will add that no shield is fine with me. I think the D&K will look fine with pins only! :thumbsup:
 
I don't think this particular poll is going to cause much suspense. Knobby knees is going to run away with it.

Still cool to be heard though. The process has been fun.
 
The smooth white sample is great. It is thin and even, and what I was expecting when voting for Elk in the past polls. This would make a very good knife.

However...

On a rare occasion you'll book a hotel room. Weeks later, you arrive at the hotel, and they hit you with the news that they overbooked your room, and now you get a luxury suite for the same cost.

That is the knobby elk for me.

I agree but since smooth bone isn't an option, my vote is for the smooth elk all the way. :D It's gorgeous. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. Elk like that reminds me of the beginning of a snow storm when the dirt is almost but not quite entirely hidden by the first dusting of snow. I love the snow. :)
 
I came in ready to vote knobby, but looked at the picture and was thrilled to see that both look fantastic! Nice job, SK, and thank you for the top-down shots! :thumbsup:

Those top-down views also illuminated the fact that smooth elk likely won't be all that much slimmer than knobby (although individual knives will vary, etc.), which surprised me as well.

Knobby it is, but I'll be happy either way. :)
 
At first I thought the White and Smooth paled in comparison to the Dark and Knobby so I voted Dark and Knobby. I'll probably keep that vote but now I like them both almost the same.

I may have missed this but when we vote on pins or no pins, will the non pinned covers be glued on? I guess they would have to be but I just thought I would ask.
 
Hey, those of you saying you'd be happy either way, maybe vote smooth and give those of us who do like the smooth but not the bumpy a chance at getting something we like. No? Hey, can't blame a gal for trying. :D
 
That dark and knobby elk looks great and I want some! I'm also glad that there will be no shield. Awesome job you're doing, skblades skblades ! Thanks for all the effort.
 
I voted for smooth, but the knobby will look great too! Especially with pins since we won’t have a shield:)

Im partial to the dark and knobby wish we could have had a shield but meh and I think I would like pins on the dark and knobby for some reason.
 
So when did we decide on Buck for manufacturer? Was there any votes to this point? What did I miss? :confused:

Kidding of course :D I voted for smooth elk, but then again, I wanted the stockman in red jigged bone or rams horn so why start "winning" now LoL. At least I voted CPM-154 , nickel and FFG. Nonetheless, this process has been very fun and you can put me down for (2) knives, it's going to look outstanding :):thumbsup:
 
Wow! This isn't close at all. I really like both, so it is a toss up for me. I did vote for the white/smooth before looking at the results. I will be ordering one for sure and probably two if allowed.
