I was ready to order after Buck was selected and would like my 'dark and knobby', 301 to be in my hands, now!

I favor letting the poll/polls and SKBlades run this and put my impatience on hold.

Stephen is doing a terrific job handling this and he and Buck have bent over backwards trying to please and get samples and pictures for us. Preston

Wow, maybe if you had posted that knife on the first day we could have all just said "Yep, 250 of those please!".

I also voted dark and knobby. Should have a lot of character. I'm really glad a Buck was picked this time. Thanks so much to SK for the effort in making this happen.

Pins are a MUST on this interpretation. In fact, the only Traditionals I have that are without pins are some really cheap beaters......

Let's close this poll early as it's not even close:D:D;)

The heady adrenalin is making me impatient :thumbsup::thumbsup:
Agreed. Even with my mighty brain I cant fathom why the to pin or not to pin question has arisen.
And let me just say th...whooaaa woooo there...easy big fella...eeeaazzy...its ohh kaay....have a sugar lump ...there y go. :D

Long Pull/Long Pull pretty much has the sour grapes covered ;)
Long Pull for the Clip Point is on the mark side.
Long Pull for the Sheepsfoot is on the pile side.

(At least on the 3 blade 301's the sheepsfoot (and spey) blades have their nail nicks on the pile side.)
:)

I have to say I was gung-ho for D&K but that smooth sample is pretty nice!

I actually like the smooth better. Feels better when I use the knife as a touch-stone during the day, as I am prone to do.

Ditto! This is a "big" knife for me, so keeping the scales lower profile helps with pocket carry. Although I'll be happy either way.
