skblades skblades , Steve, can Buck direct ship? It would be easier on you, no?

We aren’t buying these from Buck, we’re buying from SKblades. Because of this, they aren’t being shipped directly to us from Buck themselves. SKblades will be receiving the whole shipment from Buck, then they’ll have to split them all up and ship them separate to each of us.

There used to be a cartoon named “They'll Do It Every Time”, the price will be close to $140 with shipping, watch...
I've been trying to remember the name of that cartoon for some time. Thanks and a tip of the hat to you.

This is an exciting poll. Like Hillary and Trump all over again.

Grooved bolsters & Cardboard box takes the lead by 2.:D:thumbsup: For now at least. This one's a real pressure cooker isn't it.

I believe though that the vote will be the sum of all non-grooved options (top 4 choices) vs the sum of the two grooved options.

At the time I type this it would be:
Non-grooved: 163
Grooved: 148

Be careful of pushing the price over $100. There may be a number of posters for whom this is not a significant price barrier, but it's the overall numbers that count, and not just when people vote on a thread but when it times to actually put up their money. The triple-digit mark still has psychological significance for some people. What was the minimum number needed? 250?

Well non grooved is crushing it right now. Grooved is going to have to make a comeback if it is to be chosen. I'm counting this as all grooved options vs all non grooved options.
This is the statement from SKBlades about the total count, groooved vs non-grooved. Preston

Thank you Ryan I didn't realize that lol that's what I get for bragging o_O :p

We aren't likely to see free shipping on this as this knife is essentially not for profit part of how business usually provide free shipping is they use some of their profits.

Anyone saying don't vote for X it has no chance I think skblades skblades has already said that if this voting shows a split on grooved vs non grooved there will be another vote which it is pretty clear it is doing. I also want to say I am a little sad that we have the pine box option with grooves but no slip option with grooves. I understand the cost issue and that might be enough reason to not have a pine and slip option for grooves but the pine alone is more than the slip so I feel a slip w/ cardboard on grooves should have been in here from the beginning. Despite that I voted for cardboard grooved as I can buy a slip for ~$10 on my own and let the price stay reasonable.

I don't think so at this point. Everyone reading this thread understands that this poll is basically about the grooves.

=@skblades Wondering if it is possible for Buck to lower the sheepfoot blade to the level of the main blade when closed. Is this something you can check on while the great groove debate continues?

Oh yes, I checked on this. They said it could be done!

This is gonna be YUGE, people. :D

Now I'm really getting excited about this knife.

The results are obviously clear as mud...lol

While one might conclude that overall there are more votes for smooth; one could also argue that there is more interest in the cheapest grooves option than the cheapest smooth option...

Good stuff...

The suspense is killing me! I hope it lasts.

When one option (smooth) has 4 ways to vote for it, and the other (groovy) has only 2 ways, as I stated previously, the option with more ways to vote for it has a natural advantage.

I'm, of course, in for at least one knife either way...:) This has been a fun process I think!

True, but one of the options with the fewest ways to vote will tend to get the most votes ...

Well, I switched from groovy with pine box to just groovy.

I figure at this point, the pine box and slip are a no go, so wanted to consolidate my vote under the majority opinion. :D

I didn't add it very intentionally, considering the box to be of more value than the slip. Also, I either wanted to go way over 100 and see what the consensus was, rather than a little over 100, some over 100 and a lot over 100 options. It was either all or nothing. Something is grinding against me to have this knife go anywhere over 100 at all due to my conversation at the beginning of this process with Spark.

Yeah, the box and slip are history. It's all about the grooves now

I guess everything is relative, but I don't see any of the options going way over/a lot over 100.
