I'd much prefer grooved, no question.

If plain jane bolsters win this poll, even by just one vote, then frankly we don't need another poll. It's enough.

Otherwise we'll need a poll about groove depth.....;) And width...:D

Boxes wood or cardboard (we nearly all end up in one anyway:eek::D) don't have any relevance to me, leather slips, I have a few and seldom need them. If the limit is set by the owner at 100 USD then I suppose it has to be kept there, but it's very odd that this limit has not been raised to take cost inflation etc into accounto_O For me as an overseas buyer the extras are high shipping costs for one small knife and import tax at 25%, and this is 25% of the whole total including the cost of shipping not just the knife's price. So it's the knife that interests me not any boxes or suchlike and I reckon the grooves add to its beauty.

GROOVE ON!
Yes, please: no more polls!

Interesting, so two years ago it was 115 USD plus any postage costs. Isn't this more than than what's being currently asked for the grooved bolster option?

If that can pass 24 months ago, then the grooves should pass now. Just sayin'

Thanks, Will
I think the 115 included domestic shipping, with a different price (and link to buy) for international sales. Unless I'm mis-remembering...

OK, thank you Rachel. I don't know what internal US postal costs would be but I'm assuming 8 USD? That be correct? So it seems Project Groove could still be under this 2016 ceiling...

Steve, remind me. At what point will the price be fixed? When the order is placed?

Yes, a small flat rate priority box is $7.20.

I can't speak for the forum knife conductor at that time, but I can tell you I gave my word to Spark on the 100 dollar mark.

Here's a question.
When did the $100 figure appear and is it reasonable to expect that figure to rise as the cost of living increases over say the last 10 years.??

He's said a half-dozen times that the $100 number came up a few months ago. Maybe that's because of the $115 forum knife.

I gotta say that it's nice to see all the renewed enthusiasm, the injection of fresh blood and energy along with Stephen's drive and platform to do this I'm really lookin' forward to see what Buck and Stephen produce. This is the first year that I completely sat back and left it to the polls and the majority vote.

skblades skblades Steven, great job stepping up to a daunting task and grabbin' ahold of it and running. Cheers to you, if you're the future of the forum knife and the logistics involved in making it happen I lift my glass to you. 2 more dots to grind off and I'll feel like BFC left a tangible legacy that people who collect and use traditional patterns will look at the 10 Dot BFC knives as the yardstick to measured against.

Can't wait to see the mock up and I do have one question. Will there be any signature artwork for the box or any documentation, be it a sticker on the box or a card inside specifically identifying it as an official BFC Traditional Forum's Annual knife?

Again Steven, great job and thanks for all you're doin'.
