Wow, just WOW!!! John, you hit another motherloadyour Barlow collection is very impressive and constantly growing. Please say hello to the special person you were able to close the deal with
Wish I was there to buy knives and to see people buy and sell, the whole experience is amazing, greet Donna for me and post her additions here as well, because we know she's wheeling and dealing![]()
Me neither. There is always another one. I would likely not want to wait more than an hour at GEC's door. Just not the kind of thing I do, ever. But for those that are willing, go for it!Yeah, silly, I've never wanted a knife that bad!

Amen brother! It’s part of the experience, normally I would not either but at the Rendezvous it’s what you do and it becomes a lot of fun.
As I’ve stated in previous years it’s not the knives it’s the people that you meet and talk to.
I had spoken to Christine last year when I was going to try to go and she made it sound like in the store they hold back knives so that they would have some good ones for each day of the rendezvous. So while the good ones may have all been traded I think there will still be some good ones to buy. I still haven’t made it to one and won’t this year so I may be wrong. If you get a rendezvous whaler and want to get rid of it let me know. Just kidding. Nah, totally serious.Unfortunately I didn’t get there today. Started the trip off on time and got nearly 40 minutes from home before I realized the camp keys were on my trucks key fob and I’d be locked out.
20 minutes from home and the rain got so bad we couldn’t see the wiper blades running. Chilled out until it calmed down and are now headed for camp. See you guys tomorrow. I’ve decided all the good knives have now been bought, sold and traded and I’ll just have to oogle everyone else’s.
Great pictures everyone!
Perfect selection of knives. You will have to show me the Robeson and the 33 tomorrow at the picnic. There are a few dubious characters who show up at the Rendezvous and just seem to sit around all day.
And there's always someone around to tell you where to go .
But I was able to pick up some pretty nice knives as well as the 26 in Stag that I got yesterday .
A Queen made Robeson Barlow that I have searched for a deal for 4 years was provided byAugie . Thank you very much John.
