That 26 sure is nice, is that a rendezvous special or trade?
That ChurchillHalf/Stop is something else. Nice haul! thanks for the play by play
That's an epic haul, Ron! Take good care of that Emerald Smooth Bone 35 for me.Maybe one day I'll be able to hypnotize you into thinking it would be a good idea to sell it to me.
Have fun out there, everyone! Take lots of pics! Those less fortunate are loving vicariously through y'all!
Whaler is not my cup of tea, but that shield and using Pine salvaged from a factory with whaling associations is geniusMust be the Capt.Ahab Jack or Moby Dick's Whaler
Half/Stop Ron, that Emerald 35 is a rare and beautiful gem, so nice of you to think of putting it by for me far away in the Old World

The shield is just right, best GEC I've seen for a long while
Thanks, Will
@flylock So sorry I somehow missed meeting you!So I was able to get time enough to make the 250 mile trip up to Titusville and visit the rendezvous for the day. Met a couple of real nice BF members while waiting for them to open up, and in the store I purchased a rendezvous whaler and a special construction 26 stag with 2012 blades. out in the front yard was a kindly gentleman looking to unload a few barlows with white smooth bone, I helped him out too. all in all, I would highly recommend the rendezvous.

Thanks, it looks a lot worse than it isOuch! Heal fast.
BEAUTIFUL Whaler there Harry, lucky recipientWas able to get one of the Rendezvous Knives this year . It will be headed to a good friend in North Dakota as soon as we get back to Wisconsin . Please pardon the less than stellar phone pictures .
Was also able to choose between 3 different 26 Stags . Never had this pattern before . It was made in 2012 and is stamped with the " S " . It has a Spear Blade and a Pen Blade . Both blades need to be limbered up . Other than that , I see no reason for it to be an " S " .
It is really great to meet some of our Electronic Friends and put faces to the little green electrons . A lot of guys have some really nice collections and it is so nice to be able to talk to the young guys who are still trying to decide what they really like . Of course I have to put my 2 cents worth in , but they ultimately have to make up their own minds . It just makes me feel much younger than I am to be here .
This is an experience that I wish all of you Knuts could have .
Back again tomorrow and I will be thinking long and hard on what to buy tomorrow .
Harry
I finally got in a short nap!The old man can’t stay up 24 hours without sleep anymore!
The first day has been great! My friend Ron and I got in line last night at 10:45pm. I was third in line. They opened the doors shortly after 7:00am this morning! There was a lot of people in line and a lot of Forum friends. They made 50 Rendezvous Knives so they are selling 20 Thursday, 20 Friday and 10 Saturday morning. Some people in line did not get a Rendezvous knife today. We were able to buy one Rendezvous Knife and one Rendezvous Special Knife and anything else they had in the store! Of course with friends and family a lot of people ended up with more than that making quite a haul. On my first and only trip through the store today I bought a 46 Whaler Rendezvous Knife 1 of 50 and a 35 Churchill Special 1 of 12 Emerald Smooth Bone. I also bought a Kifer Cutlery Classics 78 SFO in Tortoise Shell Acrylic from Kifer directly! Also in this photo is a 43 Sambar Stag that I was fortunate to buy on Tuesday afternoon when we first got into town. The only one they had available!
So far today I have spoken with the following BladeForum members. @Travman @L.H.S @sabre cat @waynorth @Rusty1 @mrknife
Old Engineer @Augie @FeelingEdgy I know I’ve probably missed someone so please forgive me.
