2018 GEC Rendezvous and Picnic!

Colorful indeed, Ron!!!
I finally got around to scanning some of my Rendezvous booty!! First the GEC - made knives:
Emerald Green is a very nice color, and on a well designed knife it's double-cool!!
I couldn't turn down a stainless knife, esp. with Elk!!
The white-boned TCs dissappeared too fast.
The 4th knife is a GEC-made Bulldog brand-best Bulldogs ever!!

I can't turn down the kind of Stag found on these next two, and the last two; you love them or hate them!!!:D 2018 B.jpg

Here are some antiques, purchased or traded "Under the Tents" (UTT) at the Rendezvous!!
Empire Balloon whittler which I have sought for 10 years or so!!
(patience, patience!!):)
Rare Winchester small Coke-bottle Jack in Ebony - ring bolsters.
Fullest SCC brass I have seen so far!
Mystery "D&S, Walden, NY.

Wow, some beautiful old scratting on the EF&S, Charlie, and look how full the handles are!!:thumbsup::cool:

I just received my first GEC knife today - a #38 Special in Red Linen Micarta. WOW I am impressed with this knife! I must admit this was a bit of an impulse buy that I added to an order. My first impression was that this knife had more heft than I expected, in a very good way. The lines of this knife are beautiful and I really like the elegant clip point. My only complaint is that it could have come sharper. This is a classy knife and I can't wait to use it. I'm a GEC convert!

Charlie, beautiful haul modern to antique. The bolster on the Winchester is amazing, hope you showed Bill. :D. The Winchester and Empire also show beautiful etches after a hundred years give or take. .Outstanding.

Those are some amazing knives, sir. I especially love that Winchester. The stories that come with those relics must be incredible. I am going to try my best to get to the rendezvous next year so I can meet all you kind folks and see knife history in person. Thanks for sharing.

Great haul Charlie, some real stunners there, and some really interesting old knives :) You did good my friend :)
