What's that sway back on the far left, Will? It looks mighty fine.

Thank you Joshua:thumbsup: It's an English Jack by John Lloyd. Unfortunately and ironically, given this thread, it's developed a severe CRACK:eek: But not from being dropped or banged and it's a centre fracture from the centre pin to the other side:( No end cap was harmed, not the Barehead ;)

Single blades usually look best with Barehead, and why saw off nice wood grain, antler, bone or micarta...;) and put metal on it:rolleyes:

This would be a deal ender for me if end cap were chosen.
Interesting, Will. They both look good to me, but you've got a good point. I MAY consider changing my vote. Only deal breaker for me is handle material. I don't think I would shell out $100 for micarta or acrylic. Hoping for stag, wood, or bone, since we can't have ivory.

Bare end is currently leading the poll. :D :thumbsup::thumbsup: Regardless of the outcome this is shaping up to be a sweet knife.

End caps on single bladed knives biases the balance of the knife toward the palm of your hand instead of the index finger.
Adding an end cap on two bladed jacks can help balance the weight of the secondary blade. Thus my choice is bare end for this single blade pattern.

I had to change my vote after looking at the mockups (which are very helpful!). Usually I prefer end-capped, but I think the barehead looks great. Here's to hoping for sawcut bone covers...
