Bloodwood & Orleans for me. Brings back fond memories of sipping a Bloody Mary in the French Quarter with a dozen or so raw oysters.

1st choice - Federal shield on African Blackwood ( African Blackwood is classy )
2nd choice - Bomb shield on African Blackwood
3rd choice - Diamond shield on African Blackwood
4th choice - Reverse Orleans on Bloodwood ( this actually would be a cool looking knife ).
Regardless of the outcome, I'm getting this years knife as a lot of constructive thought has been put into it.

I think the centered shield looks too close to the pins. I don't know if that would cause technical problems, but even if not, it doesn't look right to me.
I agree. I am hoping if banner wins that GEC will make the size appropriate. I was just trying to see what it would look like. I dont like the centered version at all.

I don't consider reverse Orleans any different than Orleans. GEC doesn't dictate which way the shield has to lay. If Orleans wins, and if there is a significant contingent we can have a provisional poll; in which the small end to the bolster will win in a landslide.
Held my vote until I saw this. Go REVERSE Orleans!

I'm still in favor of the proportionally sized banner shield (I think)

But I could really get on board with the bloodwood and regularly oriented Orleans shield.

I like all the ones in the running. Not sure which orientation of the Orleans I like better. Still holding out for the banner as of now

Obviously, my computer graphics skills are pretty much non existent, and this image is not a vector graphic, and I am not sure that you could use it. But waverave waverave , is there any way you could work your magic to drop an anchor shield like this on the mockup? I tried to make a simplified anchor that wouldn't have a lot of loopy bits to foul up the scales.
