I'm going from what Mike said in the very first post in this thread (bolded, italicized, underlined, and enlarged to show texture):
Barrett, your Guardians looks great with polished bolsters, not brushed.
OK, have the response back from GEC on possible wood types. The "No" responses had reasons all the way from "too soft" to "no good sources left".

Since the poll is limited to 10 options, I left off the two with "Rosewood" in their name because they have been found to get confiscated way more often by international dealers.
General questions should go back to the Core thread.
That is some very nice Ironwood my friend and the knife ain't too bad either .wow!
I was hoping that you would show that one Taylor . Now people have plainly seen that they can get Black colored covers with streaks of different color black or something with some character . There are no guarantees on getting Ironwood with Character but there is a guarantee that the black ones will haveView attachment 1088541
Iron wood
I think brushed bolsters and shield are appealing on this knife. Too bad we can't have brushed with African Blackwood. If Ironwood wins, the brushed bolsters and shield and bonuses for me.
Sticking with African Blackwood with reverse Orleans shield for now. Prefer the diamond shield but looks like that won't happen.
Come over to Team Ironwood and get the brushed bolsters and shield that you really want!![]()
