Weel I'll agree to disagree on that one...which is essentially disagreeing ....because I never saw a WBSE standing in the middle of the street stopping all traffic while it gooberously* clods around on its over sized swampfeet.....mind you I never saw a WBSE squished into the tarmac either....Thus nature balances itself..:thumbsup::D

I have been crazy busy and traveling for weeks now. This thread is the first one I was actually able to take my time to read through. I am beyond thrilled that the knife is being called a rope knife. I have been lobbying for a rope knife or whaler for years, and now I will have a Blade Forums Rope Knife. That make me very happy.

It's funny, very few of the votes this year went my way, and yet in the end I do kind of get my wish.

UPDATE

As we suspected, the knives will start shipping from the factory today. The first knives will go directly from the factory to international members. One note; the factory will produce a new invoice solely for customs that shows the purchase price only. It will not include the additional shipping charge just to keep things simpler. For the same reason, your original receipt will not be included.

It looks like the rest will come to me in at least three shipments with the last leaving the factory next Wednesday. I will ship what I receive in the sequence the order was placed originally. So, please be patient.

These are dropping during THE busiest week of the year, but I do not anticipate any delays. On the other hand, the USPS has been a day or two slower since the first of the month.

Being a knife nut from Canada usually has zero benifits compared to the U.S. I'm pretty stoked my knife is on a straight trajectory to my pocket.

That's true. It should be very easy to open even with cold wet hands. Maybe that's another reason it's a sailor's knife.

Right? Fellow Canuck here, I figured that we'd be last on the list ... again :) I basically had gave up hope of getting it before Christmas. Shipping from individuals can take upwards for three weeks(stupid border). But I've been getting packages from KSF and DLT in around one week. Hopefully we are looking at that kind of time frame. Regardless, I'm getting one without having to fight in a 'drop', so I'm a happy camper :)

I missed where this was referred to as a sailors knife? If that official or something you guys have deemed it?
