I just think Todioute is a cleaner look. But I'm clearly spitting in the wind.

I’m a fan of simple knives, working knives from the early 1900’s were elegant but had a clean look. Leave the embellished knives to lobster or multiblade patterns.
I agree that less is more sometimes. However, my want for a longpull trumps that this time.
Those two show your point well. I agree with you.
I guess they don't want to make long pulls on Tidioutes, but that doesn't mean they couldn't (or haven't). I just don't care for match strike pulls on a working pattern, or lined bolsters, or blade etches....simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
A Matchstrike pull looks 'Asian' to me.
I wouldn't say negativity, it's just not my thing. Why the negativity to Asian?
That's a really nice looking knife and just goes to show that "simple and plain" can look classy.
Too bad the members got no say in the blade type/grind for this year's BF knife but @knifewapper and Bill Howard were "hell bent for leather" that it be a sheepfoot blade and that the sheepfoot blade be saber ground.
I think we are way beyond arguing that point. That ship has sailed and already entering it's next port of call. To continue to yell after the ship from the shoreline is of no use to anybody and you're only entertaining the seagulls.Too bad the members got no say in the blade type/grind for this year's BF knife but @knifewapper and Bill Howard were "hell bent for leather" that it be a sheepfoot blade and that the sheepfoot blade be saber ground.
