Those smooth orange bones sure are nice. I'll have to be content with my GBM for now, although I do have a red bone northfield in the mail.

These #29 Whittlers are really nice and Whittlers are my favorite pattern. The big ol' honkin Texas Whittler is really something to behold! And the Curley Maple Whittler is in my grandson's pocket in Vermont - where else...

Interesting to see GEC's smooth orange bone...
I came to similar results filing and sanding down my #15 blood red jigged bone from 2013
(see picture below).
Luckily still the original pins, but I had to fix them with superglue.
ps: the frame is off topic to this thread, maybe it fits enough because of its handle.

Well, I am not one to wait by my computer, but I tuned in to a dealer just after he posted his Stag #29s, and picked this nice stockyard whittler!! Serendipity I guess!! I'm stoked!!

this one came out ok - I like it

I wish GEC would not put stain on their knives and use Tru-oil Gunstock finish instead. Your #29 knives look wonderful. American Whittler SFO #29 Stockyard Whittler in smooth "orange amber" bone with badge shield "surprise release are out". I saw one newly posted on You-tube yesterday.

This is our third Heeler. Our other two have since passed away.They are very smart dogs but boy are they a handful at this young age.Lots and lots of energy.
