2019 GEC 86 Oil Field Jack and Forum Knife Picture Thread

I’ve got the sucker rod and autumn bone reserved I’ll probably try to get the others depending on how fast they come out and how fast my wallet refills, I think this will be a great pattern, just the right size. A micarta wrench would be my next one for sure.

The wrench is going to be a holiday gift for a family member who types on a keyboard all day and rebuilds and shows classic autos on the weekends. I'm so excited to wrap this one up!

Oh man, thanks! Which member of my family are you? (Cause you close to described me lol!). Seriously though, I don’t type on a keyboard that much, and I don’t do as many cars as I’d like.... but I graciously accept anyway....

First shot of the micarta just showed up...

Still no shield clue!

Sweating it out for a Forum #86 left over. Those Charlie #86s will be super nice too. I have an #86 Oily creek bone pre-order. I would love to buy an Oil Sucker Rod Wood #86 and purchase a "WHO CUT ONE T-SHIRT ?" with that dealer. 500 knives on each , I am sure some will be around a couple months. I ordered a custom fixed blade knife , right in the middle on this wonderful run. I can't wait for the next schedule , before I make any major decisions. (Forum knife paid for and on the way soon !) I sent an email to a GEC dealer asking about the Charlie #86 knife. I want to end up with at least 3 different #86s. I might have 5 #86 Oil jacks by January 1st. "GEC KNIFE COLLECTING IS WAR !"

Looking good.

I was hoping the Blade Forums 86 would be first though. I wanted that PPP to be on our knife, just like it was on the 2014 Blade Forums #77 Stag Jack.

It is a very clean looking package.

That said, I don't regret not putting my name on one of these. It is pretty drab and though I know GEC's reasoning behind the brushed finish on bolsters and such, I feel it was a missed opportunity not dressing the knife up a bit with some polish. I think those covers would be greatly enhanced with some shine on the bolsters. No doubt, it will make a rather terrific user though.

That particular configuration is not my cup of tea but I am glad that it appeals to others.
