I sold my only other stag knife earlier this year. Decided I really wanted to try again, so I jumped on the email last week. I am very pleased with the one I picked out, hopefully my happiness will last. In my head I really want to see it age over time. In reality my knife preferences change with the wind lately.I struggle so much with stag. When it's good, the JUST LOVE IT. But I guess I'm so picky that I'm usually dissatisfied with stag. So I usually don't try for it. But with these #92, I'm trying.

I have not seen a single 92 in this recent run of Stag that I haven't liked.
With how CK is distributing Stag now, I certainly took a gamble but I stated my preferences as requested (dark, gnarly, and textured) and I'd say Mike delivered in spades. It's a bit fatter than I'm used to but it feels wonderful in hand.
Nothing to complain about here.

Well just pulled mine out of tube and I like it. Asked for some popcorn stag If possible but I realize all requests can’t be answered. With that being said considering I bought it blind I think it’s a different flavor of stag I would of picked.
Which makes it that much more special to have in my collection. It does have some nice Carmel’s , smooth at the bolsters and not to thick as I like them on the thinner side. Pins are nestled in nicely with no sharp edges and even on both sides .Covers match nicely in color to and seem very solid. Feels good in hand with blades perfectly centered and outstanding walk and talk. I think I did good and appreciate the opportunity to own this beautiful pattern and stag.

I used to not like Stag at all when I first dipped my toes into the world of traditionals. Now it is one of my favorite cover materials.
I think I've only ended up disliking Stag that was overly smooth and lacked texture. I think you definitely got a good one.

Thank you, Harvey! I've been really impressed with all the Stag I've seen so far on these knives. Yours is certainly quite the dandy as well, all sorts of rich texture, which you have admirably captured with your usual efficacy.

I couldn’t agree more on all accounts
I think I was a little spoiled with the last Stag I picked out on my #29
Just a matter of taste but my favorite stag to date I’ve owned.

Just received. More of a popcorn stag wth some crevasses. A lot of character. It has a couple of fissures on one side, which I will exam more closely. I really do like this one. It seems different than the others I’ve seen. I like that.

Oh that is nice Harvey congratulations. I love the coloring of this one. I got a Camel Bone Version in the mail that should be here in the next day or two. I'm hoping I got one with deep color's they seem to look the coolest to me.
