2019 GEC Pemberton Thread

That's a nice assortment.
My one and only:

It's a gem.
My favorite. By the time I’d had my single blade for a while and thought about two, the Tidioute was the only one I could find. No two blade white bones. So, I ended up with that and a stag.

Hard not to like that knife. White bone and a long pull spear blade. I think they're beautiful. I had to sell a few of mine. I'd love to have a 3 3/4" just like it.
Yes, I’m a big advocate of a midsized coke bottle pattern. You see a lot of very large coke bottle pattern knives, but never anything in the 3.5-3.75 inch range. If I get a chance to talk with anyone at GEC during the Rendezvous, I’ll try to give them a hint.

White bone, red micarta, spear or wharncliffe and they'd sell out in minutes.

This Pemberton decided to part ways with me a couple of weeks ago. My wife and I were trekking about in SW Colorado/SE Arizona, and at some point this knife chose to jump out of my pocket.

It serves as a good reminder that these things are tools. As such, they get used, wear out, and occasionally go missing. It also provides a justification to have a spare knife in another pocket...and several spares at home. ;)

I only hope someone finds it and puts it to good use.

Oh no! Maybe we can find you a replacement :)

A very kind sentiment, but perhaps this is for the best, as I can now devote myself more completely to my beloved 14s.

I love small knives, but for me this particular model might have been too much of a good thing.
A worthy pattern! I have I think x15 of the #14's and still look for certain variations actively. Such a great little package.

OK Travis, I inquired with my dealer and he had one of these hidden away - so based on this post I bought it! I am hoping it becomes a favorite of mine also...thanks for the tip....
Nice find!

Probably in the lint trap of your dryer. ;)

I decided to patina my 06 by submerging in unboiled vinegar for 30+ minutes and sticking into an apple for 5 minutes. I'm still unsure whether I love or hate the result o_O.

Thoughts?
