2019 GEC Pemberton Thread

I roll with a small fixed blade in a minimalist kydex scout carry (horizontal) belt sheath on my left side 10:30-ish (Izula or similar) and a small (GEC 18, 06, 14 or Case SBG) in my coin pocket. Works well for me.

I pretty much always carry two knives. A larger one for big jobs like reaching the bottom of the peanut butter jar, and a little bitty one for small delicate work. I feel unprepared only carrying the large blade. What if I get a splinter, or an emergency craft project? :D
Exactly, but in reverse. I feel unprepared only carrying a smaller knife. What if I need to cut up that big steak or I'm suddenly in a survival situation with an itty bitty blade?

If GEC had another surprise 06 with that Templar clip blade and natural canvas covers with regular bolsters, I’d been on that like stink on a wet dog.

I ended up with 4 Pemberton’s. Here are my 2 favs. I really like the blue Templar a lot. I was immediately smitten with the pictures of them and had to have one. It is incredibly light and thin. I picked the stag out because it has the scar or mark. I passed on a #99 elk with some nice scars so I kept coming back to this one and I don’t regret it.

Got my 06 Templar in the other day.

It's a cute knife, one that I find to be more of a novelty than particularly useful. It will certainly function fine as a cutting tool but it will not be the one I regularly select out of my chest to carry. The bolsters are not the most pleasing to have between your fingers but admittedly, they look really neat.

An interesting revelation is that I don't hate the acrylic like I thought I might. I still do not believe it to have the "soul" of wood, stag, or bone but it is not displeasing at all.

Love single clips and that acrylic is nice but those funky bolsters are a deal breaker.

OTOH, mmmmm stag! :) Thanks @gunstockjack

Overhead view. My preference is easily the single blade wharncliff, lighter, thinner, and better blade for my needs. Spear point blades are good on spears but not pointy enough for my pocketknife needs. Little coping blade kind of makes up for that … almost.

Yup she’s a keeper,Razorsharp out of the tube and she can cut threw a envelope like no other and never look back :)
Blade centered , smooth on all transitions from the bolster to the end cap .Snappy walk and talk with a perfect pull . The shield is nestled in perfectly and what a great little knife in all areas!!

Who made the slip?

The 06 frenzy is dying down & the 97 fever is ramping up..... Last week I was able to get the last piece of the 06 Pemberton family... So I wanted to present a couple quickie snaps of the group...….. I really like the 06's.... I had zero complaints on any of them that I received...… They are a great little knife...….06 pemberton family.jpg 06 pemberton family 3.jpg

I have all of the single balde 06s and one micarta two blade. I didn't purchase either of the Templars. I don't care for the bolsters. The 06 is a jewell of a knife and will see a lot of pocket time.
