Wasn’t expecting that it’s listed as cloud in the production list. Either way can’t wait to get my hands on one!

Yeah, that was a bit of a "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine" moment when I saw that earlier.

I think I may have prefered a literal "TBD" shield...

I'm not a big fan of the Tidioute shield but I have to be honest in saying I think it actually works well on this pattern. The shape compliments the small coke bottle frame aesthetically in my opinion. Having said that, I had hopes for something different

You are not alone;I like them too. In fact, I prefer them on jigged scales.

I do, depending on the pattern. I usually like a federal shield too, but on the smooth white bone, a simple bar shield would be my favorite.

Yay, I'm not alone. They are actually among my favorite shields, I think they are pretty and have a good personality

I like them both too but I mainly like the Tidioute shield for what it stands for and not as much for aesthetic appeal.

The UN-X-LD shield on the other hand, just plain kicks butt in my opinion. It looks good, has a rich history, and it is of course, unexcelled.

I actually don't mind the Tidioute or Northfield shields at all. There's some I like more though.

My only gripe was that those shields are the default, and that the TBD had me excited for something either new or unexpected.

They look great regardless though!

I like the un-x-ld shield. I actually like the shape of the Tidioute shield a lot, and liked it on some older runs when they sometimes didn’t stamp it. I’m just not a fan of the stamped “Tidioute” on it, or the Tidioute etch, which seems to have gone away.

Anyone have any idea how the swedge running over the nailnick on the Northfields will affect the pinchability?

I have a Coyote with the same blade and have no trouble pinching it if it's not slippery from too much mineral oil. The blade on the Tidioute looks even more pinchable to me.

Every time I see a discussion of shields I want to write this. I too actually like the Tidioute and UN_X_LD shields, they are not my first choice, but, I would much rather have them over the Bar, Hot dog, and Oval shields.
