2019 John White MS Memorial BEST BOWIE Thread - Vote NOW for Finalists!

Hi Friends and Viewers,

I had an AMAZING 2019, capturing OVER 100 Bowies!

It would be impossible for ME to add to this thread without choosing 'favorites'. (All my clients are my faves!)

I need your help: PLEASE look in my special folder where I have added ALL of the Bowies from 2019. Feel free to browse and add them in this thread on your own.

Click here - Best Bowies 2019

Choose the size (Extra Large is great), copy image link or open in new tab and then copy and use the photo icon to post in a new thread.

Like THIS one from Brion Tomberlin, MS. (OK, so sue me!)

Post 23 Image #1.

I hope you will add to this almighty thread. I gave you the tools. :D

Looks like forum issues are getting everyone at the moment. Its not allowing me to add the pic to the post, only the link. Oh well. I’ll try again another time I guess. Done messing with it for now.

Thank you Coop! Some jewels from the treasure chest"

1. Dave Lisch This take on a D-guard really displays Dave's skills at the forge on multiple levels.

2. Butch Deveraux I just absolutely love this piece - tons of charracter.

3. Mave Vitale Not sure how I missed this long, lean beauty this year but glad to have found it now.

Thank you guys for diving into the stash.

The 'Treasure Chest' is overflowing with goodness. Keep it up!

(I check in and delete the images which have been posted. Links still work, because they are duplicates elsewhere. If it's in there, it's up for nomination.)

I'll add a few from Coops stash as well, if he does not mind.

This Andrew Blomfield catches my attention for a few reasons. The pattern in the Damascus flows our the tip. The attention to the fitment of the rear bolster/hand guard to the gnarly stag tickles my fancy as well.

2
AARON Willburn. The perfectly bookended stag, framed tang, and blued/pebble textured guard, combined with the well laid our feather Damascus flowing out the tip!

3
David Lish. Gnarly stag, intricate pierced ring guard with mixed materials.

4
Shane Carter. D-Guard. I like this one for the "simplicity" of the gauard. Simple, functional. Stout enough to function as a guard. Great piece...

I'll come. And add a few more with descriptions.

Hi everyone ! :)

This year I was stuck with a "viking" war knife projects rather than big bowies. Anyway .. I made one, that maybe can compete :)
It is an explosion damascus multibar twist bowie with a ball guard and ironwood handle. I'm not so good in making those beautiful collages like some of you can do. So I will post some more pictures with details of knife. I hope it is ok and it isn't against the rules. Please let me know if it's not good and I will remove the pics if necessary. There are some more pictures on my FB or web if you want to see them all :)
I wish best luck to all competitors and thanks for a nice thread once again ! Have a nice day ! Petr

Submissions will wrap up some time today - so get them in! The aim is to wrap up everything by New Year's Day, so there's not a lot of time left for the second and third stages.
