I actually disagree :D:cool: The Lambfoot is the best pattern offered in Sheffield, I don't care for their Barlow (had that pattern TWICE already as FK ) Tackler or that odd looking thing they call Senator with large bolsters.... Maybe an ETTRICK though would be a really novel change?

How about a Tackler, either like this, or with a Wharncliffe blade. We could have some nice swedges, an etch if we wanted, maybe even a lanyard hole?

Ettrick or Peach Pruner were the first to pop into my head when talking about Sheffield. While the Peach Pruner is shorter in closed length, it has a longer blade than a "standard" Ettrick.

I know that my knife preferences aren't the same as the majority of BF, so I usually stay out of these discussions. I do like the idea of a Hess fixed blade, though. A Buck 55 with stainless bolsters, CPM-154 blade, and burl handles would be fantastic, as well.

Peach Pruner is a beautiful pattern in my opinion, a really elegant knife

Edit - Just adding a pic of a couple in Sambar stag.

Wright's do a lot of nice Pruners, nice one with an end-cap

Uh uh:thumbsdown::(

Peach Pruner a fantastic idea though, or any kind of Pruner/Hawk:cool:

I've only seen it mentioned once in this thread, so it's apparently not a popular pattern but I'd love a #12 single blade in bone or stag with a one dot Bladeforums stamp.

That or a 38 Special.

The 38 Special has to be one of the ugliest knives ever produced by GEC in my opinion. From what I can tell. it was released sometime in 2017 and is still readily available from just about all GEC dealers. Some have already discounted it to get rid of existing inventory, so it's not just me that feels this way. The 12 isn't much better looking. Why would anyone want these goofy looking knives (my personal opinion) as a forum knife?

This would be excellent. I went their site and saw several that might be excellent candidates. I also love the file work on the back spring in their Premier Line.

I even loved this especially with the BFs special filework tx. Most cover choices are reasonably priced, too.

Here’s a nice lamb foot.

The #86 pattern is coming in 2019, probably in the later part of the year, according to the schedule. It is logical that if a GEC knife is wanted, now is the time to start the ordering process for an #86. We should probably be bickering among ourselves over the handle materials. Although it is great fun to wish for Rough Riders for $9.95. However, The Chinese would probably only accept orders of 50,000.

I would gladly go along with a Sheffield peach pruner. It's an elegant knife, and a welcome departure from the usual fare. Could it be made with a longer than usual bolster? That would make it even more elegant, to my eyes.

I like the idea of a Lambfoot or Ettrick forum knife if they are willing to work with us. Normally could care less about Buffalo but they look real good. The Rosewood is nice too.

I have never seen that one before, Jack. What pattern is that or what does Wrights call it?

I usually just pick Pruners up for other people Kevin. Wright's give it the rather unimaginative name of "Medium pruning knife with nickel end cap" :D Here's another

Both of these are spectacular Jack.

Thanks Dwight
