And saying a saber grind can’t cut anything is not an opinion, it’s just incorrect.
Who said a saber grind can't cut anything?

Hello Rey!, does this look familiar ?? View attachment 1076921
All this talk about the ineffectiveness of the blade profile. I am not convinced. Its a fairly common profile for a hard use rigging knife.
Here are some examples of a similar blade used on sailors knives

There is one more thing to add. The #86 should be made in mahogany (jobillo wood). It would be perfect.

Well yes, I have one of those. (me, too!) It's a Traditional Forum Knife made by Buck.Hello Rey!, does this look familiar ?? View attachment 1076921
Yes, that's what I meant. I always thought this was the "Traditional forum knife" but maybe it's the "traditional Forum Knife"I interpreted Rachels question as has the Buck Sub-Forum here at Blade Forums ever been the point of origination of the annual, sponsored, traditional knife. Not with the Blade Forums tang stamp - but several of SK Blades limited run Buck Knives have been designed via polls on the Buck sub-forum (such as we had last year when the 301 you pictured was designed). The UK Army certainly put it to good use.

I can agree that wood would be my preference of standard options but if there was some type of ivory well that would really spark my attention.I'm for wood with this one......unless of course Warthog Ivory comes up...
I made a promise to all fellow porcheans during last year's process that I would vote ram's horn if it came up as an option. Not the best choice if this becomes some sort of rigging knife, but I plan to stick to it.
Mike can send yours to me along with my own and I can forward it to you Jon, along with fun surprises!my only real problem at this point is ...apart from relocating residence in March... the Knifeswapper OS shipping conundrum.
Yes, the 7 occasionally active participants there will be happy to step up to the plate.perhaps the Kitchen Cutlery ... forumscould take a turn
