Voted just in time. Bloodwood would be nice if GEC gets the job!
I agree that Bloodwood would be an excellent choice!
My second preference would be Jobillo, both have a somewhat simple grain which I think would be good on a knife this size.
Edit: cbr1000 came up with a better idea - African Blackwood!

Saber is a great cutter, though if you are doing downward cuts through material it can bind up, like in thick cardboard. For slicing, as in food, where you want thin even sections, it will steer funny and make it hard to get an even slice.

The UK Army certainly put it to good use.

How about a picture with the blades open please.

Not sure, GEC have used it on the #25, #92, and #79. Maybe others. rare enough to be cool, but not so rare that GEC may baulk at the suggestion

That spear blade with a cut swedge would be so much better and useful and better looking than a sheepfoot blade with a saber grind.

Oh how nice it must be if that non-existent problem is your only real problem..

Non-existent problem?

In the first post of this thread, the OP said; "One caveat for our foreign members, Mike can’t ship overseas. So if he ends up being our vendor, something will have to be worked out. We don’t have an answer to that issue at this time."

So you're saying now that you can ship overseas and that overseas shipping will not be a problem?

Drop shipper services for people outside the US. This was talked about already.

Spam is bad for you anyway. Too much sodium.:D

No way!!!!! Spam is great and the sodium makes it taste just that much better.

I'm 75 years old and have never exercised all that much, never paid particular attention to what I ate, plus I smoked for 50-years or so (quit in 2001) and I'm still standing. There are a lot of health nuts, joggers, and never smokers laying face up in a grave or crispy in an urn that kidked off in their 30s 40s, 50s, etc.. The guy that started "Running Magazine" died while jogging in Hawaii at about the age of 35 or so.

I'll just keep my salt, glutens, etc. and do just fine. Just don't make me slice my Spam with a swedge ground blade.;)

Yes, I know it was. I was just thinking that maybe drop shippers may not be available for everyone and all countries. Wasn't meant to be snarky - just a thought that crossed my mind.

I have a number of sheepfoot knives, but none with saber grind. I wouldn't mind trying one out for myself. Maybe it won't make much of a difference; maybe it won't slice well at all, and will only be suited to chopping rope. Maybe I'll have wavy spam and waffle fries. That doesn't sound too bad to me.
