2020 GEC #23 Trapper Thread

You're asking the wrong folks for help, here..... I had to get all the iterations of the #62 Easy Pocket congress and Pocket Carver.... total (so far) of 20

So far, I'm holding strong on the 23's.... I only bought 3 of them.

View attachment 1385956 I went a little overboard after my first 2 ,just could not stop ,now I need all the variations . Help MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I know the feeling! This pattern fits me well. At this point I'm just trying to get each version of the liner lock models. The mesquite is going to be a tough one to get!

If any of you folks gets a mesquite 23LL (or either of the Northfield LLs, depending on how my luck with them goes) and decides it's not for them, let me know!

I picked all of the RFO (regular factory offerings) of the 82 Dixie Stockman when they were released. It took me a bit longer but I finally got all of the 66 Calf Roper RFO. Still need a couple of the 29 Stockyard for full set of RFO's. As to the 23's I was able to control my self and only pick up 4 variants but I initially intended to only get two of them. I'm really hoping for a break from the patterns I chase to resupply the knife fund.

Been toting this one all weekend and snapped a picture of it in the wild today while I was checking my trail camera. I can't wait to skin a buck with this one!

Curious why yours is so much lighter in color than mine. Most of the ones I've seen so far are almost black all over, whereas yours has a nice brown color on the higher areas.

That's one of the great things about these handmade knives and natural materials. No two are exactly alike. :) Some of the color differences may be in the lighting or editing of the various pictures.

On a side note: I just purchased an antique autumn bone 23LL!!!

With that attitude you will.

With that attitude you may just not.
It has been my experience that attitude has nothing to do with catching something on the exchange. It's either there, or it's not. Your experience has obviously been different.

KSF has the Autumn bone ones on now for sale. Man do they look so sweet and of course they're sold out

Not the place for it but it would be cool to see a thread on collection strategies. I really liked the 62s And I have a bunch of them but I’m probably only keeping my 23 beaver tail ll, and that’s just because I think it’s cool. I have no real plans to use it or carry it. Wonder if most folks collect just what they like or are there a lot of strategic collectors out there looking for very specific stuff based on manufacturer, or style, blade type, handle material or some other specific criteria.
