2020 GEC #23 Trapper Thread

First mesquite pics! You should show both sides, my friend..... show us all what we have to look forward to... :D
that bone is really nice.... looks almost buttery....

There you go! Both are exceptionally nice. The reverse of the mesquite displays figure much like the one on the GEC home page. The handle finish feels just perfect when in hand - in fact, both of these feel great in the hand. Pleased with the character & match on the bone version & the Northfield trim on both: the blade swedge & lined bolsters - nice touches!

Those are both beautifully matched.... you did good!

That mesquite looks great, to bad I missed out but the pics will have to do for now

Does anyone know how many of the Kifer and CK SFOs were made?
There should be 100 each. The Kifer blue knives are numbered. There might be a "S" model or two. Most dealers keep those for a user. Mr. Frank posted his "S" Exotic India bone #23 two blade and it sold before I could snag it.

Wow, am I happy with this run of knives

There is speculation that the factory ran out of bone to jig and will likely make additional single blade and some double blade at a later time. They presumably have the backsprings, blades, bolsters, and other fittings and would like to use them, but for now it seems they’re on to the #33s.

So maybe I'm out of the loop. Are we not getting a single blade 23 bullet knife??
I am expecting and hoping that something will be released on (7/31/2020) Friday. If GEC ran out of bone , they knew this way back. I heard it was steel that they were low on ,at first. GEC has plenty of #23LL Bullet parts. After the #33 run , they can always finish up the bullets knives. Bill Howard is always up to surprises , so you just never know. GEC is building knives to survive . Bill Howard is a fighter , and he will not lets us down. I just spotted more #33 Conductor photos. The new shield in the production drawing photos will be used on the Tidioute #33 knife. "Classy & Beautiful"
