A belt sheath might be needed. I see GEC has leather sheaths available, small and large. I'll assume the knife doesn't come with one and order one of each. They look nice.A #23 Trapper is a macho Bear of a knife! My advice if you are going to carry one - go back to your workout program!Get some suspenders or Bib jeans!!
And drink Knox gelatin to strengthen your nails!!
Still, a beautiful and useful knife!!View attachment 1339157
Maybe it will be that lighter color throughout since it’s natural (smooth?) bone. That’s a tough call because I really like that jigging in the wood for the beaver shield.View attachment 1347642

Tough to say. You could always get both and sell the one you least prefer.Maybe it will be that lighter color throughout since it’s natural (smooth?) bone. That’s a tough call because I really like that jigging in the wood for the beaver shield.
Logic checks out. I’ve never had one with wooden covers. How is that? I imagine it cuts the weight down somewhat.Tough to say. You could always get both and sell the one you least prefer.

Right there with you. I didn’t like the jigging they put on the 97 but this is nice. After seeing a completed knife, the woodland micarta doesn't do it for me. I'm loving the jigging on the Brazilian Cherry though, and I'm looking forward to seeing a completed example.
