2020 GEC #33 Conductor Thread

These were a "filler run", it's been said. Perhaps to make use of a small margin of inventory while they regroup after the shutdown? Brilliant pattern choice, I think! I only wish there was enough material for one more cover option. Bloodwood? Ebony? Cocobolo? Love the ones I've been lucky to get.

well you can always get a recover done!!

Had a big stroke of luck yesterday, managed to score one, from what i can gather, but i'm not 100% sure, the one i scored is from the end of the run and the stag is more a smooth stag, i'm just happy to have been able to get one. And i'm a big fan of smooth stag and bone, so it's all good.:p:D:thumbsup:.
Smooth Stag looks great and feels good in hand to

After 19 days in transit, i finally have my 33. unfortunately theres a couple of gaps, so yeeaah its not a keeper. i have never seen a gap at the end of the spring. the bone is sweeeeet tho!

I guess that I do not see your problem . Mine looks just like that and I am not concerned about it . The spring does have to move .

Flush it out...... Earlier posts detail the process...... Gap gone........ It probably has a tidbit of manufacturing swarf pinched in the area.....

The back spring looks good to me from here. But reading that you say the gap is at the end of the spring...are you meaning the space between the spring and catch bit? If so, I think it's normal as it can pivot a bit on the pen blade's pin, and open and close that gap somewhat. Yours looks a lot like the jigged bone example that I have. My stag knife is a bit tighter there.

That is an excellent Stag lineup, my friend.

I was compelled to bring my examples of the same pattern out and take a picture - (I realized after I uploaded that I captured the pile side of the 33 unintentionally. No matter, both sides are quite nice). One of the most endearing attributes of Stag is the wonderful variety that can be had. You have some excellent Stag!
