Couldn’t agree moreI love the unique factor on those, even more so than the woods.
Thank you, most of the afternoon and evening yesterday, then finished up this morning. Sorry I really don't pay attention to the clock when I'm whittling, it's a real stress reliever for me.Wow, that is so COOL! I can't imagine how hard that pattern would be to carve. Very nice. About how much total time did it take you to complete? Thanks for sharing.
Larry
VERY cool... did you dream that up yourself, or did you see one somewhere?
Thank you, I'm sure I saw it on the internet somewhere. I could not tell you where though.VERY cool... did you dream that up yourself, or did you see one somewhere?
I'm working on a slightly different one myself, in spanish cedar... which has slowed me down considerably.... at least I'm strengthening my hands...![]()
I think that will probably be normal since there squeezing so many blades in on a thin knife. Sometimes how you open it can cause blade rub to if your not careful . Always try to pull straight up . Just my opinion and I’m sure someone with more knowledge then me will chime inHas anyone experienced blade rub? Mine 62 ez congress came in today and im real happy with it, but already got some blade rub at the tip of the wharnie on the side that shares the well with the pen. Just at the tip, the scratches run the width of the blade but dont appear to catch the edge. I have read a fair amount of this thread but not the whole thing, havent seen much about blade rub.
What do you all say? Send er back or hang onto a unique piece?
Did they get the ok to open back up again?
That's very cool.My middle grandson got interested in carving when I showed him pictures from this thread, thanks for the great work guys. Carving for a 10 year old is hard but he tries, not sure what year he will be done
. I'm retired now, it's nice having free time so I'm back doing old hobbies I haven't done in many years. My grandson helped make a leather pocket carver holder for a stand that's not done yet but I might convince him to punch a hole and hang it. Here's a couple pictures of the knives, holder and pocket slips I made.

Just arrived From DLT a beautiful leather pocket slip. Fits this 62 easy pocket like it was made for itFits like a glove yet slides out of the slip with just the right amount of tension and very well made.
