I see them as two different knives... much like the 82 Dixie Stockman, and the 82 Possum Skinner. Same frame, but different knives.I have no reservations about moving on.
Should I make one?
Edit: also isn’t it interesting I consider the same pattern and blade combination with different covers/trim to be the same knife (ex, the 62 pocket carver described above), but someone else calls them two different knives. A third person yet might say it’s impossible by definition to buy two of the same anything, so they are all different knives even if you get the same version twice.
I know others see them all as "62's".. but to me, they are different knives.
I see this in other patterns, as well. The older 92's, like the single blade Talon, vs the two blade Eureka Jack.
Either way, I can't wait to see the 62 Pocket carvers.. especially since I just began my "whittling" career..


I thought the Case swayback would be almost perfect for whittling, but I'm finding the blade is a bit long. The pocket carver should be just about right....
