Sorry Harry. Was in a hurry to get home from work and eat :)

Has a bit of a dish on that side, making the grip quite comfy without being too chunky

Mineral oil flush, and a bit of a tickle on the sharpmaker, and I'm looking forward to having it in the pocket tomorrow :)
Thank You for the Pile Side picture Mike . Carry it in good health my friend .

The other day I told someone that I got LUCKY on receiving the Stag 62 that I got . Turns out that that was not true .

Yesterday when I was looking at the Bill that came with the knife , I saw the note that my dealer had hand written on the Bill . Turns out that he had Hand Picked one for me . Wish that he was a contributing dealer but I will see him at the Rendezvous and I will thank him in person as well as the note that I sent him .

You don’t need any popcorn when going to the movies with that one !!
What a beauty !!!!

Another Civil War student I see.

Yes sir. These days the Civil War seems unimaginable, yet it was fought in our “backyards” only a few generations ago. It’s easy history for me to connect to.

Though I don’t particularly think Grant was that great (and I don’t understand whittling while men under his command were dying), I still like that there’s a story of an important American whittling. Anyone who’s ever taken their pocket knife to a stick and produced shavings is another thread in a long tapestry of people through history of a similar mind.

Guitars, whiskey, guns, and knives...
I’m in heaven.

“good purchases” to all!
Day one of carry with the pocket carver. It’s a beaut.

(well okay, no guitars in the photos, but I have enough here, and it’s how the song goes.)
