Yeah, I think the federal shield is taller, which is why it looks higher. I wonder what’s gonna go on the ironwoods?

The jigging is definitely intense, I think that it will look much better with some age and pocket wear.

I have an 82 with similar jigging that was sharp to start with but has aged well with some pocket time.

Black Plum Jigged Bone with Federal Shield - to say that I am intrigued and excited about this one would be an understatement. That could be a very striking knife.

Not sure if GEC has used that color before but it has me curious - maybe a dark reddish purple?

I'm just now catching up on this thread (and any info on this run). Black Plum sounds pretty good, and I love a federal shield.

I'm going to dig the color of that jigged bone - I am a little disappointed in the jigging pattern though. It's like tire treads...

That said - I have similar jigging on my Elderberry 82 and after some pocket time, it has smoothed nicely and looks a fair bit better.

I can see that. It's not my favorite GEC jigging, but certainly not my least favorite, either. And we never seem to get the really primo jigging on Tidioutes anyways.

I agree, once through final sanding and buffing the pattern will be subdued.

Black plum color sure does look good, the jigging is different or should I say questionable but I could live with it and will try and get one, can’t wait
