I secured a Mount of Olives wood 77. The stag looked great, but the meaning of the olive wood sold me.

knifeswapper Mike's notification method went very well IMO. Got the 30 minute heads up which gave me plenty to time to make sure I was signed in on my account. Order link arrived about an hour later. Claimed my olive wood and just now got my shipping notification. Can't get any smoother than that!

Olive on the way, and I've already received notice that the shipping label is in the system. What a meaningful knife this is going to be. It takes the sting off of the Bethlehem olive wood cracking when I sent it in for stabilization too, lol.

This was probably the smoothest a GEC release has gone for me. Even with the early reserve system, it can be a bit hectic trying to get the cover that you want. I really like the way Mike set it up with the batches this time.

I can't wait to see everyone's pictures! I think all four cover options are absolute winners this go-around.

The knives haven’t dropped from any dealers I know of yet so you still have as good of a chance as any of us in snagging one sir

I should have added a . Came off the wrong way.

I have plenty of knives. And I think someone might snag one of these for me. So again, sorry about the way that came off.

Just don't see the reason for so much pickiness and criticism around here about relatively trivial details on various GEC knives. They make and sell a damn good product, IMO.

Anyway, I believe two of these were SFO that you needed to pre-order to get in on. But I'm fine. And looking forward to getting vicarious enjoyment through posted pics here.
