No worries sir, I was not offended at all. With 7+ Billion folks in the world opinions will tend to differ every now and then. I take no offense and will never feel regret for expressing an honest opinion either. The Sawcut 77's will be offered at all the normal dealers alongside the Cocobolo, it's the Stag and Mount of Olive Wood that are CK Exclusives.I should have added a. Came off the wrong way.
I have plenty of knives. And I think someone might snag one of these for me. So again, sorry about the way that came off.
Just don't see the reason for so much pickiness and criticism around here about relatively trivial details on various GEC knives. They make and sell a damn good product, IMO.
Anyway, I believe two of these were SFO that you needed to pre-order to get in on. But I'm fine. And looking forward to getting vicarious enjoyment through posted pics here.
The Mount of Olive wood is gorgeous, but I chose the Stag, despite not knowing what I’ll get. I just love Stag. Happy no matter what, but hoping for a gnarly one.
Ditto this. Very smooth, low stress (with the exception of selecting the coversknifeswapper Mike's notification method went very well IMO. Got the 30 minute heads up which gave me plenty to time to make sure I was signed in on my account. Order link arrived about an hour later. Claimed my olive wood and just now got my shipping notification. Can't get any smoother than that!
Because we like knives, we like talking about knives, we like dissecting knives, so a little nit-picking can make things interesting... otherwise we'd just be a picture posting site. And I don't read nit-picks as a hatred for the knife, I read it as passion for the product.Just don't see the reason for so much pickiness and criticism around here about relatively trivial details on various GEC knives.
Well said. Can’t wait to see yours!Mikeknifeswapper sure knows how to run a good system. Hats off for the heads up and ease of ordering.
All of the choices were great options and I’m thankful I had a place in line to choose from among all four. I went with olive as well. I hope it has lots of visual character, but the dullest olive from the Mount of Olives would still be a good reminder that even Jesus came to earth meek and lowly; having no form or comeliness, no beauty that that we should desire him.
I agree. Thank you for the good wishes. If the progress pics from GEC are any indication, I think you are going to be ecstatic with what you get. I didn't see anything close to a stinker in any of the pics.knifeswapper must have been sitting on that stag for awhile, you don't see a whole lot of the gnarly/popcorn stag these days it seems.

I should clarify I didn’t mean any disrespect, but recognize it can be seen that way. I was going along with the back story of the olive coversTo everyone else, peace be with you as well.
